Irrelevant because Ole Miss the same money LSU did

Ole Miss was willing to paying more until he proved to be the same child he’s always been. He views LSU as an easier job

He did quit. Difference is that Ole Miss was smart enough to not let him coach another game. Other teams didn’t learn that lesson

LSU=Short leash, short tempers. Watch what happens if Kiffin doesn't make the playoffs next year. Despite his overall success, he was famous for choking games that he should have won.

This board really sucks right now.
Just a fricking endless line of petulant children from every fanbase.

Nah….everyone knows he wanted to coach, but he wasn’t going to get backed into a lifetime contract just coach in a playoff game.

Factually incorrect statement. There was only one vote on the player leadership committee who voted to allow him to stay and coach.
You’re wrong.
Amid players being informed Kiffin was leaving LSU and Golding was being named as the head coach, the Rebels' player leadership council voted to keep Kiffin and the offensive staff at Ole Miss through the CFP by a 9-3 vote margin.
Ultimately, the powers at Ole Miss decided not to give much thought to the leadership council's vote.

You know you guys had him until Strickland sabotaged the hiring..

The LSU/Kiffin divorce in a few year will be ugly. I'm sure LSU know this but are hoping to get a NC as a consolation prize.

Was scared of a rematch vs. the best team in Louisiana

I would not have but I would have bought the hookers to do it for sure...def wanted Lane as our coach.

He will be an upgrade from BK that is 100% fact.
If dealing with the devil means we are better than we were with Kelly that’s a deal I’m Happy LSU made.

It’s a shame, ole miss is so close but now will never win a natty.
Shouldn’t LSU fans be pulling for the team their new coach built?
