Aroma Cuban in Maryville is pretty legit as well.

What Thai place do you like? Ever since I moved back from the west coast, we've been struggling to find a good Thai place.

Go to Xul for a beer (they won gold for best hazy IPA at the world beer cup) and they will have Abridged burger company food truck in the parking lot on Friday and Saturday - one of the best smash burgers you can get anywhere.

Xul is legit AF.

Carmichael's (downstairs from Xul) is a pretty good mechanic as well, if you happen to need one.

I like Dreamland. How’s that?

Their sauce is fricking fire. But their ribs are overrated. Go to one besides Tuscaloosa, they're just shitty for the price. Chewy as hell with a bunch of unmelted goo still inside.

Stock and Barrell (burgers) is a staple but it's small and on market square - if you want to eat here go by and put your name in an hour+ before you want to eat, then go to suttrees and get a beer and play pinball while you wait.

Other top options around downtown that may be easier to get in quickly:
Chivo (Mexican)
Kaizen (Japanese)
Souther Grist (American)
Balter Beerworks (Brewery with great food)
Adopo (pizza)

I hate Calhouns but people seem to love it - it'll be slammed.

If you like beer go check out Schultz Brau, Crafty Bastard, or Pretentious.

Enjoy the weekend in town.

Calhoun’s on the river for good barbecue.

No kidding ?

Back when I worked at Oak Ridge, we used to go to a Calhoun's. There were two of them, and Calhoun's on the River had Sunday Brunch. It was a buffet ... kind of like a really kick arse Meat and Three.

Nothing about BBQ. Great mashed potatoes though. Almost Amish good.

The Abridged food truck burger is actually better than the burger at Abridged brewery. It’s a damn good burger

For a quick, down and dirty old school cheeseburger, fries and shake, go to Scott’s Place. Really good burger at an old diner joint.
