re: The greatest Oscar snub of all-time

I recently saw L.A. Confidential for the first time.... it blows my mind that it lost to Titanic for best picture. I also learned that not a single actor in that film was nominated for best actor/best supporting actor (well at least Basinger won Best Actress). An absolute travesty.

I have always appreciated schools like Georgia, Georgia Tech and Texas who allow middle and high schools to completely rip off their logos
Texas forces Florida high school to change logo
UT forces high school to change logo
University of Texas asks Johnson County to change longhorn logo
Georgia Tech challenges BHS

Also Johnson City where you at homie? No need for a gif (of course always welcomed, you came thru big on Die Hard) but just let us know you’re good buddy.
 I'm still here.
Just counting down the days 'til next Saturday.

JCR.. something happen to the Die Hard gif?
That's weird. I guess that's what happens when you try to use a different image hosting site. Imgur has stopped working in past weeks.

If Judkins does end up at Ohio St, I'll go ahead and make the prediction we will face them in the 12 team playoffs :banghead:

re: Red Rising Book 6 (Light Bringer) Release Date 7/25 (LB Spoilers pg 2)

SPOILERS
Absolutely. Baddies getting killed left and right in this one. I was fully expecting Atlas to make it to the last book, he was my favorite villain in the series until a lucky Lysander cheapshot took him out.
- Having Volsung Fa turn out to be basically just a paid actor was strange but humorous. And the fight between him and Darrow was incredible... the parallels to Game of Thrones (Mountain vs. Viper) had me on edge the whole fight.
- Diomedes is awesome, and I hope we finally see him fight in the last book.
- Hated to see Cassius go, especially THAT way, but we were bound to lose someone from the big three (Darrow, Cassius, Sevro) and he was the least painful one to lose.
- How strange to see some of the subplots wrapped up so abruptly, like Lyria's Figment ability, or Quicksilver's Oculus project. I highly doubt we see Quicksilver in the last book.
Overall I thought Lightbringer was good, better than Iron Gold but not as good as Dark Age. Looking forward to the finale... Lysander has cemented himself as the true villain, and I hope he meets a satisfying end, though I don't think Darrow survives either.

The final fight was fun and challenging enough, which was way better than the botw super easy final boss
Took me three tries but yeah that was an awesome final boss fight.
SPOILER --- The first time Ganondorf bullet-time dodged my attack I nearly dropped my controller.

Pierce Brown, the author of the Red Rising series, has been teasing a show for years. No confirmation yet but recommend the series.
Just two and half weeks until Lightbringer!
