so, you're saying that 40 isn't going to happen against either?

I won't speak for Auburn, but I would do a ban bet about scoring 40 against LSU. Dinardo was at Vandy the last time that happened.

I mean I think everyone recognizes he is a very talented player, and Bama is loaded (like every year). I think the comment is that Herbstreit made it seem like no one should even bother showing up to the stadium.

Other teams have tons of talent too, and if they put together a good gameplan and can have him make some mistakes just based on his inexperience in game action, they can take advantage.

Sorry, but I wouldn't put too much in to much of anything that Danny Sheridan has to say. If you recall about 8 years ago, he claimed to know and have proof of the "bagman at Auburn". How did that turn out?

All these LSU fans that are offering up ban bets I feel like are ready to call it quits anyways, and feel like if Bama beats them by 50 this year that they were done with football anyways.

Win win right guys?

I mean, I know he’s good, but we’re supposed to believe he’s the next Dan fricking Marino because of one half? Lol

Well, he has one thing Dan Morino doesn't have: a championship.

I hear this bantered about a lot on here. How many years in advance are these games scheduled?

With that gang of RB's and that OL, and a downfield passing game to go with it...what are you going to do to stop it?

We could easily say the same thing. The problem is it rarely is that simple.

Tua is a Phenom. In America today there is Mom, Apple Pie, and Tuanigamanuolepola Tagovailoa.

Oh the recognize it. They WANT Hurts to start for obvious reasons. Look at the fans on here that are saying these things: LSU, Auburn, and Georgia. Wonder why?

Doesn't matter. When "your" coach preaches about OOC SOS and you end up with this?

If Joey Freshwater was OC it wouldn't be fair.

Is Herbstreit's comment hyperbole? Probably. But, I've been watching Bama football for a long, long time, and, assuming Tua is the starter, this should be the most talented and explosive offense I've seen them field.

It's not one play, or one half of football from Tua. He was extremely highly touted coming out of high school. According to insiders, he was a force at practice from the beginning. And he played a lot more last season than most of you seem to realize. He threw about 1/3 as many passes as Hurts did on the season. And any time he came on the field, the offense immediately transformed. He made mistakes, and he'll make more, but he's going to be very good.

But that isn't the only reason Herbstreit said what he did or that Bama fans are excited. The offense is absolutely STACKED across the board. The O-line will be one of, if not THE best Saban has had at Bama. There are 4 or 5 WR's that can be the man on any given day. And the TE's are the same - deep and talented. I don't think I need to point out the RB's. There are no weaknesses on offense.

I'm not a rah rah guy. If Tua starts, this offense is going to be the best in the SEC.

What does that have to do with the last time Bama scored 40 against LSU?

No one respected Hurts ability to throw and stacked the box every time. It was no secret how to defend Bama. Every single team played us the same way but Auburn and Georgia has the horses to compete. The games were closer than they appeared because we win on defense, special teams, and frankly the talent differential. The running game suffered because everything was taken away as well as all the underneath stuff. Jalen was simply incapable of making reads and getting the ball to open receivers No one respected the long ball.

If opposing fans think this year is going to be like last year they are in for a rude awakening because all aspects this offense will be opened up with Tua. Play Tua like you played Jalen and will be a disaster.
