Lil' Will we're not crying. We won the game. You may not understand that since we didn't storm the field.
One reason we didn't is because it was at Texas.
But even if we had played in Athens, we probably wouldn't have stormed the field. We expect to win when we play top ten teams. Good luck to ya, young fella.

He will be fine without the alumni. It'd hurt him less than a 100 dollar speeding ticket hurts the avg. alum or current player.

If there's one thing that can bind all of us together as opposing SEC fans, it's shitty officiating.

Dang. I wish SC's fanbase would have been trashy enough to throw a bunch of stuff on the field vs LSU....

The call should not be revisited but it was a Blatant bad call to begin with. The targeting fouls were legit, if you don't like it change the rules.

Kirby is absolutely correct
Can’t reward fans for trashing the field

Cry, after manhandling #1? Nobody’s crying, and if you can’t see why this should concern every SEC team - even Texas - then you’re pretty shortsighted.

I cannot say I’ve ever seen a penalty reversed after it’s been called. Ever.

There's "getting a call wrong," which happens all the time because refs are trying to officiate a fast-paced game in real time, and then there's "not following the rules of officiating," which should be grounds for suspending or outright dismissing the ref/crew in question. That's their entire raison d'etre on the field.

Also, is it a penalty when fans throw shite on the field like that? Seems like it is and/or should be.
It can't be a penalty in game. Otherwise UT fans would be tossing stuff on the Bama/Georgia field every other year.

They got nothing right. The original call was wrong, and reversing it after the Texas fans' tantrum was wrong.

This is how the conversation went on the field:
Bob: Dude... you see all that stuff flying out of the stands? Are you SURE that was Pass Interference?
Tom: Well... It was kinda close, but...
Jim: Hey, I was talking to security before the game and they've only got a couple of part time deputies available for us when we get ready to leave...
Tom: Ah.... well.... Then, in that case, let's pick up the flag

It's settled.

And last week they set a precedent on not penalizing coaches who shove the other team’s players out of the way. He was not too angry about that last week (conveniently).

It’s why replay review is garbage. It allows the league office to butt in where and when it wants to attempt to influence the outcome to a desired result.

Except for not calling a delay of game penalty, at the very least, for the trash on the field.

Additionally, they didn’t flag the crowd which also would have been “getting it right.”
There was no interest in getting it right. It was a bad call, good defense, and the idiot, in typical SEC officiating fashion, got it wrong. That happens multiple times a game. They then get in a huddle so they can all justify the idiot making a horrible call. That too happens multiple times a game. They then march off the penalty against Texas and fans throw a temper tantrum. The officials see that escaping Austin alive is not given, huddle back up and reverse the call. This is where CFB is now. Horrendous officiating and temper tantrums. You can rest assured that other fan bases observed the tantrum and it achieving the desired goal and will mimic it multiple times a season. Kirby is not wrong…the precedent is established. Fans can behave like spoiled children and get their way.

South Carolina fans were raised right. When Tennessee fans did this it was shocking to SEC fans because most of us were raised right and, while rabidly passionate, are not prone to throwing temper tantrums. Texans not so much….there are and always have been more “Karen’s” in Texas than normal. Texans throw temper tantrums at a higher rate than normal. It is as sure as death and taxes that fans will see Texas throwing a tantrum and getting their way and will emulate that behavior.
