I’m confused here. What winning % is better?

And Kirby has won TWICE as many NCs as the HBC. So is 2>1?

Interesting stat here.

I wonder if Spurrier would've fumbled a $13M bag for an 18 year old QB, or if that was just the SunBelt coach thats at UF now...

I remember when Florida was actually a team to be concerned about every year. No more. Great for LSU!

I remember when Spurrier founded the UF program in 1990 that was a good 18 year run y’all had.

I'm sure that makes up for Florida never having a perfect season.

Congrats on that by the way.

Spurrier's winning percentage 25 years ago is better than Kirby's WP right here today.

I’ve seen two Kirby vs Spurrier threads this week by dawg fans. Just wanted to make sure they remembered who their true daddy was.

You might want to double check your numbers.
SOS was one of the best ever and while he owned UGA while in Gainesville, he spent a little time in Columbia where he didn't do as well against the Dawgs.

I hope the knowledge that Steve Spurrier owned Ray Goff and Jim Donnan helps you forget the current dynamic between UGA and UF.

A dark time in the Classic City.
After living through that, we deserve what's happened the past two years.

While Steve was a truly great coach at Florida, he had and has a deep seeded hatred for UGA. Some dawg fans may disagree with me on this but IMO, Kirby has that same deep seeded hatred for FL. UGA will be dominating the Gators for the next several years. Kirby will make sure of that.

All that "winning" under Spurrier, and you're still miles behind us in the head to head series.

Kirby's accomplishments will end up being worth 4 or 5 Spurrier career's over. Start getting your money up.

Spurrier was definitely one of the best coaches of all time. I guess it’s a good thing Napier is the guy there now.

It wasn’t long ago you gators were saying Kirby was a “HoUSe oF CaRDs”. After Back2Back national championships I wouldn’t be throwing stones at UGA if I were you.

Be glad I don’t mind Sunbelt Billy as much as I despised Mullen or I would be all over the drama unfolding in Gainesville with another Swamp is burning post… good luck with that record not being 8-2 over the next 4 years, your going to need it with all that’s going on down there.

This is the problem with comparing different eras.

Spurrier's Florida teams would have made the playoffs in

1991, 1995, 1996, 1998 and 2001.

Pre-playoff Georgia would have been left out in 2017 and 2021.

You can't really compare NCs from pre-BCS to BCS to playoff eras.
