Why anyone would willingly live in BR is simply beyond my comprehension. Place is pretty terrible.

I know you're trolling, but it is true. Anyway, her family is outside Baton Rouge, so I doubt she'd live in the city.

This applies to many things for you doesn't it?

Maybe, but when it’s Kim Mulkey I don’t think you’re gonna see much complaining from anyone.
The problem with your reasoning is that you are applying common sense. I hope you are right though.

I think it's just speculation and hope, but it does meet the sniff test-
Mulkey is from Louisiana and has family here. She used to come in a lot to watch her son play baseball, I'd say definitely made some connections.
Woodward is known for making big contracts, so LSU has the right guy in place at that end.
Job is open, she's still in the window to run a program 5+ years, SEC basketball is at a level where it's possible to win nationally (Miss State, South Carolina).
Wade has a good men's program, so the 2 programs would be able to piggyback for resources and exposure. A new arena would benefit both.

Sadly the Baylor's men's program just won the Big Dance. That is covered for Baylor.
The question is does she love her birth state more than being a perennial top 5 coach at a school that thinks she poops Tiffany Gold Cuff Links? Could she win a Natty at LSU?
Easily. Would it be worth it at her age to do so? That is the thing.
In the Big 12 its a stroll to the coronation every year. In the SEC she'd have South Carolina squatting in the same conference and up and coming programs scattered around.

It would definitely be worth it. She would not only bring a ton to the program but also to the university as a whole, which LSU could use right now with all the recent events that have unfolded.
edit: I read your post incorrectly, is it worth it for her. That probably is the biggest hold up I would guess

I think she is making 2.7 mil at Baylor. Are you going to match or exceeded that.

Why would anyone want to live in College Station? Or Waco?
Posted on 4/21/21 at 2:49 pm to joshua2571
She isn’t making 2.7 at Baylor. That’s hilarious to even put out there

That's usually only after your athletes assault them though. Doesn't appear to be the case here.
