They owe the success theyve had this year to Kiffin but they'll hate him just for being honest about not wanting to be with them.

They got their fee fees hurt and forbade him from coaching them to a championship but had their greedy little hands out for any of the coaches who also chose to end things with them. Very emotional stuff.

when you consider the back drop of 1962... I have to think that was Ole Miss' greatest season.

As awkward as losing your head coach was going into the playoffs....

The situation at Ole Miss that year was off the charts tense. And those guys rolled through that season unbeaten.

Yeah I believe they had to move the Houston game to Jackson and Gov Ross Barnette spoke to the crowd that Ole Miss would not be integrated. Don't remember how RFK got to him but ole James was a student at Ole Miss.
