Or do they have super secret info that the rest of us aren't privy to?

Barring an epic collapse, Ole Miss is going to make the playoff. Even if they lose 1 game down the stretch, which is full of weak teams, they're in the playoff at 10-2. I don't see any realistic scenario where Kiffin leaves for Florida/Auburn/LSU when he has a CFP game to prepare for. And that's not even taking into account if they win their first game and make it to the 2nd round or semi-finals.

It is Vegas..so yes they probably do...you don't think Vegas does not have ears pretty much everywhere in sports? They make billions from knowing stuff.

So Ole Miss is about to make a guy who has never made the CFP, has never won a conference title, and has never played for a conference title the second highest paid coach in America behind only Kirby Smart and right in line with Ryan Day.
Which school and city/town has benefitted more financially from that coach leading their program? How much of a difference does Ryan Day make vs Urban Meyer, Brian Hartline, Marcus Freeman, or whoever else they would hire.

And you’d take him any day over grindin Brian
grinding Brian is one of many cautionary tales of overpaying for a coach who hasn't done anything to earn that pay. But Kelly had certainly done a lot more than Lane Kffin has and look how that turned out. When you pay a guy that much money, that comes with pretty damn high expectations. Going 10-3 every year isn't what Lane is going to be paid to do at 12.5 million/year

I don't think there's any guarantees this year that 10-2 gets you in. The SEC could have Alabama, Ole Miss, Georgia, Vandy, Missouri, A&M, and Tennessee all at 10-2 or better. I think, doing the rough math on those teams playing each other, that 6 of them can theoretically end the season with 2 or fewer losses. They're not all making the playoffs. And if Ole Miss does, in fact, lose another game, they're going to lack a quality win on their schedule and, presumably, a bad loss.
Just look at the remaining schedules of the 1-2 loss teams in the SEC right now, I'm not so sure I'd feel comfortable at 10-2 ending the season. That may change depending on how the rest of the year plays out, but right now I'm not so sure that's a certainty

Thanks for letting everyone know how dumb ole piss is for giving that to a coach that’s never accomplished anything!

The alternative is joining a coaching search market where we are competing against Penn State, Auburn, Florida State, etc. I'm just fine with the monopoly money contracts at this point.

Y'all REALLY think you are getting Lane, don't you? You really, truly believe. it. Bless your hearts.
Bless it. Remember these artifacts of discussion are actually people with families and families they are responsible for. Lane is in a good place.

Kiffin will throw out an outrageous number and see if Florida bites before he jumps into that briapatch . If not, he’s happy with what he has .
