There are two first round draft picks on our OL. Combine with the best back in the SEC and I’d say we will be able to run the ball a bit.

You aren’t looking at the right stats.

Auburn came in averaging 238.2 yards rushing per game. They had just 46 on Saturday. It was Auburn’s lowest total since it had 39 last season, also against Georgia.

You should probably just come out on the first drive and spend time taking out knees on every defensive player on the field. After you injure the first and second string you may have a shot.

Seriously, that defense is nasty nasty.

Fun fact:

For the second week in a row, UGAs offense is #1 in the sec in offensive ppg in conference play.

Do we expect this to continue for a 3rd straight week?

IF UK loses, the Cats win out, and if not a CFP berth, then a guaranteed Sugar Bowl bid. No matter what, awesome and historical season in progress for the Cats!

1. Show up with the team that beat Florida by 7 and LSU by 21 instead of the team that beat MIZZOU by 7, Chattanooga by 5 and USCe by 6.

2. See #1

Also you really don’t want UGA throwing downfield. We have been dismembering people on the deep ball.

Throwing deep with a lead or in a close game is different than throwing deep while behind. UGA might not have to do the latter all year, but I assume he means if Kentucky gets a lead and forces y'all to go deep they have a shot, which is probably correct.

Agree to disagree in principal.

However, i agree that there is a difference between going deep against cover 1/cover 0 and against cover 2 or quarters. What the defense throws at us plays a huge part in the efficiency of the deep ball.

Beat them in Athens? Good luck.

Only COVID can keep this game from being an UGA blowout. Although we have yet to see a team challenge UGA, I don't see that happening this weekend against a plucky but lucky to be here UK team.

No slam on UK, but UGA doesn't make mistakes and will make UK pay dearly for errors. More a function of where UGA is right now. While I likely will root for UK, just don't see it.

Just checked....UK offense is ranked 60th. Auburn offense is ranked 31st. Auburn got 46 yards on the ground.

Auburn did some good things against UGA

They gave up on running the ball at halftime and Georgia didn't mind giving up short passes and blitzing Nix every play because they know how shaky he gets. Nix had good stats, but in reality Auburn never threatened again once UGA went up 17-3 and stopped their 4th down gamble right before the half.
