The gators have won several national championships in football and beat us like a drum for a couple of decades.

Spend 20 years beating the crap out of us and win a few conference and national championships and you'll be right there.

On Saturday, a good UK team will face a team and a crowd the likes of which it hasn't faced in years.

I’ve been to many games at Sanford Stadium and I’ve never seen the crowd get rowdy when Kentucky comes to town. I think the key to covering for UGA is whether or not they take Kentucky seriously. If they do then it’s an honor they’re bestowing upon the Cats. If they don’t then I think the Cats can hold the margin under 20.

The temperature of this board is a great example of how little respect UK gets. You guys are acting like we are a middle school team getting ready to play the Kansas City Chiefs. Damn, Georgia is awesome, but they bleed too. If our helmet had a Gator Logo on it, several of you would give us a chance for the upset.

Yeah. It's pretty humorous. It tells us how much we trigger the rant. "Kentucky can't be good in football, they just can't". It's pretty hilarious actually. I guess we can be Rocky to Apollo if that is what they want.

I don't give Kentucky a huge change to win, and I've said that in other threads, but to just assume that this game has no chance tells me a lot about the people posting such.

All it tells me is you’re riding high on a successful early season the likes you rarely see and have blinders to the buzz saw you’re heading head first into. Arkansas and Auburn fans can fill you in

I mean this in the nicest possible way: there is no chance UK establishes anything resembling a run game against UGA.

There are two first round draft picks on our OL. Combine with the best back in the SEC and I’d say we will be able to run the ball a bit.

Its not about your team. Its about this Georgia team. We heard the same canned responses from Arkansas and Auburn fans.

"UGA hasnt played anyone."
"Stop the run and UGA is screwed. No passing game."
"With the way their fans are talking our team might as well not show up hyuck hyuck."

The spread was 18 for Arkansas and we covered.
The spread was 14 for (at) Auburn and we covered.
The spread for this game is 24, and we will cover.

Everyone seems to have top talent somewhere on offense that just doesn’t show up for UGA. It’s uncanny

Keep the situation identical but change the sport to basketball. Georgia would get the same amount of (dis)respect going into Rupp as your football team has going into Sanford. Kind of makes sense, doesn't it?

I’ve been following Georgia football since 1975. The truth is we don’t have a fricking clue what’s going to happen Saturday until the ball’s teed up and the final whistle blows. Kentucky is a good challenge for this team and I’m just glad I’ve got the opportunity to see it played out.

Did you read the OP?

200 rushing yards?

Here is a stat for you.

Georgia has allowed 33 points all season. We scored 34 on saturday in jordan hare stadium. What number can we put up at home with secnation and gameday and the sec east on the line?

UK will get handled by UGA.

They’re finally partying like 1980

Not quite. There is a big difference between a #1 Kentucky and an unranked Georgia or vice versa.

#1 vs #11 should be taken more seriously. When teams come into Rupp ranked highly I don't generally see UK fans posting that it's a waste to play the game.
As said previously if this was #11 Florida or LSU, I doubt people would be posting that there is no chance Georgia loses.

It's the blue name that is generating this. I guess that is okay, just speaks to the disrespect. I hope our team sees this from their perspective.

You’re blind to a problem you’re creating yourself. It’s not Kentucky. It’s not unique to yall. I mean for fricks sake it’s a an exact mirror situation to Arkansas not even 2 weeks ago.

Uh huh. Keep telling yourself that. Kentucky can certainly pull off the upset, but you're going to have to do it and stay at a very high level for years before you get the respect that Florida and LSU have earned. And while you're at it, win the SEC Championship a few times.

You haven't earned anything yet. You'll get the chance to start doing that this Saturday. Pull off the upset and you're on your way.

Keys for UK to win the game.

Don't turn it over.
Run it enough to make UGA respect it.
Throw the ball effectively, this can be done and when they blitz, hurt them.
STOP THE RUN. Make them throw.
When they do, don't give up anything cheap. Play good pass D.
To have a chance, you must match their physicality. Come prepared.

If you do these things, you can stay in the game.

I don’t think it gives you an excellent chance but definitely a better chance.

Are you suggesting Tebow, Finebaum, Corso are lacing it up for Georgia? Not sure why any of that matters.

Auburn is 4-2, nearly lost to Georgia State and LSU. They have had close games too.

Again, not suggesting that UK has a great chance to win, but it's not non existent either.

Stats are great, but hardly have an impact when the ball is kicked off against the team in front of you.
