Why change what is working.
Put the better team, Oklahoma, in the East. Put the bad team, TexASS, in the west. It helps to better balance the divisions. Keep the divisions and the 8 game conference schedule....
Seems obvious,,...

Will be 9 conference game schedule. Play all 8 in your division and one team in the cross division same conference

I think they are planning to go to 4 team pods

So your gameplan is to avoid Bama as much as possible.

Make the Mississippi/Alabama border the line. Teams east of the border in the east; teams west are in the west.

The west would be really bad taking the top 2 teams and sending them East

More often than not we beat Bama when we play them. The idea is to preserve what is working in the SEC with as little change as possible....
Other ideas basically blow up the SEC in order to accommodate 2 new teams..l.

Bama and Auburn to the East.
Mizzou, OU and Texas to the West.
Problem solved.

I wasn't really being serious and I was making fun of a coach who left you guys high and dry, not OU. A true blue blood of the sport and one I am happy to have the join the conference. And you need to enjoy that lead you have on vs Bama because it will not last long after OU plays them more regulary.

The SEC ADs don’t want 9 conference games and don’t want to change much at all.....
9 conference games instantly add 1 loss to half the conference, worse ranking for the low and middle rung SEC teams means lower SOS for everyone....and lower ratings for the top teams......
