That’s his lil ol work buddy, he ain’t throwing him under the bus. Jokes aside, I wonder how DeBoer manages conflict with the staff. He strikes me as being mild mannered in public facing situations with them but I can see it getting heated behind the scenes.

Grubb is being tougher on himself than DeBoer is being on him.

He's not going to crucify his buddy to the media. If he lets him go at the end of the season, Grubb will still have to find a new job. He doesn't want to hurt him even further than what he's already doing to himself.

Unless the decision to strip him of playcalling duties has already been made (to be clear, I think that decision should have been made) what do you expect him to say? Anything less than full support is no support. If you go with no support it has to involve a demotion or termination.

Yeah, it’s this. If you also show the media that you shift blame and throw staff under the bus, who is going to want to work for you? It is a really dumb play to act all performative and hostile if you know you can’t get rid of the dude mid season anyway.

Does he solely put together the gamelan alone?

CKD is dumber than I thought. Tennessee stacks the line and what does Grubb call? Yep. Dive run off of right tackle.

Why can't he? Grubb has 1.5 yrs of tape here for his resume of why he should be canned. Other offensive coordinators are probably asking what took so long.

Grubb is probably making himself unemployable down the road. At least on any significant level.

He should not be renewed. He needs to take a G6 HC job

If I was a G6 school I would not be chomping at the bit for some of that.

I don’t expect KD to criticize Grubb in front of the cameras and I don’t recall Saban doing that as well.

What I do believe right now is behind the scenes is a lot of tension l and the decision at the end of the season that will be made. I don’t see Grubb returning, but not fired more like another job. If DeBoer is serious about keeping his job here and fixing a major problem

This should be expected. It’s coachspeak. No one is going to conduct their work in the media

Sometimes you just have to shake your head and turn away.

How am I just now realizing we have failed to score a TD in the 2nd half on back-to-back games?

Grubb shouldn’t be fired. He should resign in disgrace.
