Its gonna take high level intervention in this situation and its going to end up costing Deboer his job.

Byrne should fire Grubb. If DeBoer wants to leave then let him leave.

Sounds like he’s selling him for a new job. “Oh yeah, he’s great! You’ll love going empty on 4th & 1!”

Why can't he? Grubb has 1.5 yrs of tape here for his resume of why he should be canned. Other offensive coordinators are probably asking what took so long.

Because firing someone midseason is a bad look. From an optics standpoint it also makes the position and program look even more unappealing. And who are you going to find in the meantime? Just nothing about that impulsivity would work out.

No coach worth his salt blasters his OC in the media or in front of his players. Cannot happen because if the players don’t believe you’re screwed already. We will find out this week whether Grub s ego is just too big or will he relent and understand we can and are a good running football team. He has to commit to it though. You can’t run three plays go three and out and throw your hands up. Plenty of games with Saban we went yheee and out the first couple of drives but eventually wore in them and the pass opened up eventually. I don’t think you can pass successfully without committing to running the ball.

Kalen is done. He’s will to drown himself to go down with the ship. The only question is how long the AD lets him ruin a once great program.

I wonder how DeBoer manages conflict with the staff

DeBoer looked scared to death on the sidelines Saturday. He can’t even manage himself.

Grubb is being tougher on himself than DeBoer is being on him.

Same junk he said in Seattle and then proceeded to change nothing. That’s why they fired him.

Yep. DeBoer can not handle this pressure cooker. He let those hillbillies and spooky rocky top rattle him. Told a buddy he looked totally undone. The team plays totally undone. Every. Single. Road game. How long before everyone see this is what we have now. Timid weak coach leading the Tide.

Most coaches and coordinators (with the exception of our current staff) know what kind of environment coaching at the University of Alabama entails. The standards and expectations are very high. They also know that if those standards are not met and continue to be pathetic then termination is in their future. I think it would show strength for the University to cut Grubb lose now and respond with he wasn't coaching up to the standards and what is expected of this football team .After all, the AD and HC jobs are on the line too.

Deboer loves Grubb and loves the offense. They're joined at the hip. We're stuck with these two idiots for a few more years..
