2024 Alabama would be a world class travel ball team.

Coach named Kalen, defensive coordinator named Kane, a Jalen or two, now Kadyn is coming home.

Like LSU doesn't have a few Jaxon, Javen, Bradyn's AND an awful lot of Ka'Morreun, Jacobian, Da'Shawn, Javien, Sai'vion, GiVanni, and Tyree's too.

Serious question... does the transfer out and transfer back cost him anything in regards to having to sit out a year? Or is it a scenario where it's as if it didn't happen?

I think you and I need some skin in the game when that one comes around. You need to disappear for example.

We will see if you talk, or walk.

Who's going to try to make a kid sit out a year?

The courts have rendered the NCAA impotent along with any transfer rules they ever had in place.

I believe the SEC transfer rules don't let spring transfers (which I THINK his transfer back might be considered) to play in the following football season. Transfers that happen in the winter window are allowed to play.

I could be wrong about that though.

But normally it's not a scenario where the player transfers back to a school, so even if that rule is still on the books it might not apply to this kid.

I'm just curious. Return transfers after a couple of months are not the norm.

Once again, it's obvious that Coach Saban doesn't complain about what he can't do. Just comments on what he knows will make the game better. If you don't "commit" these players in some fashion, the game will simply implode in time. And one more time for the hard of hearing, this will never be about one team. Even the great Crimson Tide.

On the bright side, Offensive Tackle is the toughest position, besides maybe QB, to fill on the football team. And Proctor, as slow as he started, came on big time at the finish. Freshman All-SEC and All-American make the point for me. To get him back at LOT is a lotto hit.

You are. The courts stopped that stuff a few months ago.

There apparently is no norm anymore and it will eventually kill the sport unless it’s properly regulated

As for SEC transfer rules this guy is transferring from out of conference so he will be immediately eligible

It's so funny listening to the hypocrites all over the country after roasting Saban for being "hypocritical" now saying this is out of control, something has to be done, this can't continue, where's the accountability?
Who's the REAL hypocrites here.

I noticed this top tier post had zero replies and wanted to give it the attention it deserves.

So how does Proctor already know he has a roster spot at Alabama if bama didn’t tamper? He still has three weeks before the portal is even open and has already announced his intentions to transfer to Alabama. No way that can happen without tampering.

Gotcha. Didn't know who the window applied to I guess.

I read a little and apparently there are just two windows (One in December and one in April). Since this is before April I guess he'll "officially" transfer in that window and be eligible since the SEC rule is just for in-conference transfers. But any transfer announced AFTER April will technically happen in December after the season is over and thus the player wouldn't be eligible for that year because it would have already pretty much ended.

Confusing stuff.

April 15th to be exact. After Springball is the perfect time to reshuffle the deck on the Titanic.

It's okay to agree with Saban's stance on the current state of college athletics and laugh at him for paying athletes before NIL was in play.
