I totally understand the risk vs reward decision. But "opt out" needs to be replaced. They are deciding that it is no longer worth it to play for UF. That's quitting

These bowls are glorified exhibitions though.

I don't want to hear any excuses, Gators. You can't let lowly OU get the dub over an SEC team.

I actually think UF matches up really well with OU.

OU stops the run well (which UF doesn't do well anyway).

Mullen is coming off his best called game of the year against Bama. Putting up 46 on Bama without any run game at all is pretty impressive.

The cupboard isn't empty at WR or TE for UF, but its got a lot of inexperience.

I know there are a number of good ones on the team so maybe I have them confused. I was thinking more of those playing in the Alabama game. The one I was thinking of seemed to play more like a WR as opposed to a prototypical tight end.

Good for Trask for not quitting on his teammates

FIFY

Amazing that you're praising both quitters but not a word for the guy who's risking just as much and was by far,the team MVP

Pitts, Toney, Grimes and Copeland being out is good enough reason to bet on OU for me. I’ve seen 7 Florida games this year, and I can’t even name who is left. Shorter, the guy who drops passes almost as well as Copeland. The three remaining WR I had to find on ESPN.com. We have Henderson, Whittemore the White Receiver, and Wells. These guys combined average under 30 yards a game.

fricking quitters. I’ll say it about a Bama player who lays out too. I’d write terms in their scholarship offers that if they lay out of a game for future professional inducements they have to pay the last year expenses back. One one quits once, it gets easier the next time.

Would have been 5 loss, but thankfully had Georgia on the schedule.

Not a Florida fan, but its situations like this that can throw a younger/2nd string guy out in the water and let them shine. You never know.

Due to testing Covid-19 positive multiple times I will not be playing in New Year’s 6 bowl game.

So Kyle Trask will be without his top 4 pass catchers.

why do you stupid A@M tards talk shite about a team that owned you for years in the Big 12. Just because you had a soft schedule and was paired up against a bad UNC team....doesnt mean your on our level. YOUR a farm school.

That's correct.

OU was without their #1 RB, #1 pass rusher, and a 5* WR against LSU.

Nobody cared then, nobody should care now.

Floridas best team in ages and now suddenly everyone is the best player at every position.... this sec crap is ruining college football. BAMA doesnt do this.... so why do UGA and Florida players opt out when they never win anything?
