I feel great about Shorter, Gamble, and Zipperer.
Henderson has played all year and Whittemore looked great before he got hurt.
I feel like we might see a lot of running game with Emory. It's his team next year and we need to rely on our running game more with our top 4 targets out this game.

Yep, could also see Pierce and Davis being heavily involved in the passing game, like they were against UGA and Bama.

True. Davis, Pierce, and Wright have all looked good in the passing game this year.
I think we'll have enough on offense to win IF our D has one of it's better games.

Pitts and Toney are both projected first round picks. Disappointing, but I cant really blame them.
Copeland is COVID, so frick 2020.
Grimes is the most disappointing.

CFB has been going this way for several years. Players not playing in bowls for various reasons. This year gives them a valid excuse and I think we will see it get worse from here on out. After they've gotten a taste of the "opt out" life, that genie ain't going back in the bottle I'm afraid.
It's honestly to the point where I think it would be better if there were no bowls. Just the playoff and that's it. I mean I understand the player's viewpoint to an extent; why play in a bowl game that is meaningless? Especially if you're a senior. The only reason the coaches like bowl games is because it gives them extra practice for young guys. And the schools like it for the money. I don't know of another sport out there that has "participation trophy" bowl games. It's kinda weird, honestly.
It sucks for the game, but it is what it is. The NFL allowing juniors to declare is one problem. And all Div-1 HS prospects thinking they are NFL capable is another problem.
If the NFL had a semi-pro farm league it would fix a lot of this. But then the level of play in CFB would go to shite. It would basically be frat guys out there playing and no one would watch.
I think the ultimate solution is to turn CFB into a semi-pro league (officially). Then all the Dodge chargers at Bama would be legit. AU could let our bagman out of the shadows and give him an official title. Let the players major in engineering if they WANT, but also let them major in "football" if they want.
Let's stop pretending that CFB is not semi-pro already (and has been for decades). Make it official and let's move on.

why do you stupid A@M tards talk shite about a team that owned you for years in the Big 12. Just because you had a soft schedule and was paired up against a bad UNC team....doesnt mean your on our level. YOUR a farm school.
Have scoreboard and higher ranked. Sorry, we're better.

Trask isn't?
He could possibly take a pounding because of those guys opting out.Timing could be difficult with the newer guys and he might have to eat a few decisions.
This isn't the Sooner defense of old.

You dumbass... LSU isn't playing in a bowl game. LSU broke Toney and Grimes.

We knew Trask was never considering opting out, that's just his character. A finish what you start kind of guy.
Probably the biggest reason he succeeded while Franks didn't is he makes quick reads and progressions. So yah he'll lose some of his safety outlets but he should still have a solid game because he's not going to suddenly lose those attributes.
He still has 4 WR/TEs that played all year that looked good, and 5th that looked great half the year before he got hurt.
Also 3 RBs that were used extensively and very effectively all year in the passing game. It won't be like he has no experienced targets to throw to this game.

We still have a decent chance at winning this game IMO.

Also just announced Marco Wilson, a “shoe” in to the nfl, will also sit.

Of course not but those 2nd team
guys don't have the same experience and abilities to make the same reads and adjustments on the fly like Pitts,Toney and Grimes. Playing receiver is far more difficult in the SEC than it used to be with more complex offenses.

You asked if Gator fans would melt if we lost to OU.
I said we wouldn't melt more than we did after the LSU game.
Who is the idiot?

Exactly these bowl games mean nothing anymore. More reason to do away with them and go to a 16 team playoff system.

Will be mistakes made by younger receivers for sure but they are talented. TEs are still very good just not Pitts.
We need the RBs to step up like the Georgia game for sure.
