He's a great QB, and those numbers would win him the Heisman most seasons.

Yep. It was like when LF7 ran for 1900 yards in the SEC only to be overshadowed by Henry.

Both RB's broke the SEC single season rushing record. Henry broke it more LOL.

honest discussions

If I’m being honest I am genuinely concerned for UGA fans with Kirby sitting pretty over there as an SEC East champ + Fromm about to move on.

Mettenberger at LSU was the peak of post-2011 Les Miles, and watching Georgia looks painfully familiar. I mean that from my soul lol.

Offensive scheme from NCAA football ‘05. Silly/stupid losses that should never happen. Ridiculous talent limited by fear-driven possession football philosophy in a league that is moving further and further in the other direction.

Call it a hot take, but y’all might be screwed here in short order if SECCG doesn’t go well.

Skrayer. That is a well considered mature reading post, I don't completely agree with your conclusion, but it's reasonable and not childishly insulting.

Since your posting hypothetical stats just award him the hypothetical Heisman.

31 td passes to just 1 int, plus 10 rushing tds. All of the top QBs are benefiting from favorable systems, Oklahoma, Bama and OSU all play to their QB's strengths ( I wish Fromm had that benefit). The bottom is nobody has better stats and he's doing it on a undefeated P5 team. Thoughts.

Yah, and to think he has done all that playing less than 2 and a half quarters a game.... Incredible, incredible talent. Georgia lost Fields the same way OSU lost Burrow.. I've seen him numerous times this year and seeing him run that OSU offense is mind-blowing. He just oozes with dynamism and is so cool.

You are alright for a Bama fan. Level headed, stat oriented, stays away from trolling.

Like the HR chase a few years ago between McGuire and Sosa.

Only with fewer steroids.

Just think, if your school wasn’t filled with racism, you might have a Heisman candidate.

Considering some of the threads yesterday? I almost stopped being all that level headed... but I chose to look at the replies, and saw a lot of LSU fans telling their louder, shittier brethren to STFU. That's why I'm still here.

No it doesn't. Ohio State plays cream puffs all year. There have been zero teams that have challenged OSU. ZERO.

Really???? Not according to Phil Steele and sagarins, which are pretty reliable, LSU has the 6th toughest schedule while OSU has the 17th. I wouldn't exactly call that creampuffs. Anyway after Penn State and Michigan they probably will have at least 4 teams in the top 25 at the end of the year. just sayin

OSU has yet to play Penn State or Michigan.

They have played.

FAU
Cin
IND
M-OH
NEB
MSU
NW
WIS
MD
RutG

Of those, maybe two have a legitimate pulse?

They dodge Iowa and Minnesota.

Which was my point. YTD nothing on their schedule really allows for Fields to show much of anything.

Fields strongly considered re-enrolling at Georgia and his sister still plays sports there.
Enough with the racist bull shite.
Are you saying that Fields lied to the NCAA about being a victim of racism?

Racism is why the NCAA allowed Fields to play in 2019. NCAA rules required that he sit out one year (absent racism)

Fields has had a very impressive season thus far. He may get an opportunity for his "Heisman moment" against Penn State. Then again, he might get exposed playing against a team with somewhat similar talent.

I'm all about a solid discussion though. So I'll ask you this, in the history of college football, name a more accurate qb than Joe Burrow this season?

Hint: Absolutely no one.

Thoughts.

Fields has 2164 passing yards, and 377 rushing yards 41 total TDs (pass & rush) - 69.1% completions

Burrow has 3687 passing yards, 215 rushing, 41 total TDs, 78.6% completions.

Thoughts... You're drunk

Fields is 1b as far as best QBs in the country.

His decision making reminds me of Fromm at his best - very few mistakes.

Arm strength and accuracy compare favorably with anyone in the country.

Among elite passers he's the most mobile, and he extends plays and throws in the run very well. He also plays as tough as Jalen Hurts.

He won't win the Heisman because Joe has earned it, but he'll be frontrunner next season for sure. I've maintained since they were in HS that he was probably better than Lawrence, and still I think Fields ends up the #1 pick.

There it is. A GA fan who gives Fields credit.

Dont worry. The LSU fans that aren't overly concerned with trolling the boards are aware the racist thing is probably some bullshite used to play early.

What was that guy's name to finish 2nd in the Heisman behind Joe Burrow? Yeah, I can"t remember either.
