Really..... Anyway you can argue about things until you are blue in the face so its fruitless. All teams play weak sisters. All. I'm just going by what the experts say not some armchair QB, which I am to.

What is their expertise? Football? Or brown-nosing their way up the media talent ladder?

Should have played him and your offense wouldn’t suck

I know the media has anointed Burrow The Heisman already, they gave it to Tua last year..oops.
I think it's highly likely Burrow wins and he's not undeserving, but Fields deserves real consideration. When you're directly responsible for 41 tds in 10 games with just I int for a undefeated P5 team you should be a strong candidate any year.

How is this a question. Look at LSU's schedule thus far and then look at OSU's. You tell me.
This isn't that complicated.

Not sure why this bothers LSU fans so much. Fields had a great year and absolutely deserves some heisman consideration. Burrow should win it, but fields should be invited to the ceremony.

What’s to be butthurt about? It’s one guys opinion. It’s not gonna happen, so it’s irrelevant.

wonder what his numbers would be in 4 quarters
Or if he actually played some real competition. That would be nice to see.

I don’t think anyone disagrees with this

I like the back and forth but some of these guys are just plain stupid.
We all have those fans, and we know who they are.

OP has over a 100 down votes for saying fields should be considered, so it seems at least a few do. Technically the second and third place vote getters are considered, so it’s not like they said fields should win over burrow.

He will be in NY, but Burrow will be hoisting the hardware

If stats were all that mattered then whoever is Mike Leach's QB would be winning the Heisman nearly every year. Burrow's played in way bigger games. Who knows, maybe Burrow hits a snag against Arkansas and A&M while Fields lights it up against the first good teams OSU will have played all year (aside from a lukewarm Wisconsin team). Maybe he could win it if that happens, but if the ceremony were today then Burrow would win it by a landslide. There's enough people who don't know what to do with OSU as a team right now given their awful schedule. That ambivalence would only be magnified with respect to Fields' achievements.
As a side note, imagine if UGA didn't lose him? With that defense and fields at QB, they'd be unstoppable instead of 2011 LSU.

Do you really think fields would be putting up the same numbers in UGA’s offense?

Definitely a lot of gray area there, of course. But I'd imagine they'd shape the offense around a talent like him. Swift would do great as well in a spread RPO. Saying that they'd ham-fist Fields conservative pro-style offense like what they have Fromm doing doesn't indicate a lot of respect for the coaching staff.

Burrow is the best player in college football this year, period. He has carried this team on his back all season. Without burrow, we lose 2 to 3 games. We are a far elevated team with him at the helm, LSU’s entire season relies on his performance. He is a generational type QB like Tua.
The two best QBs are Burrow and Tua and the rest are a distance second including Treavor and Justine.
