Arkansas was the first to get tired of Texas' shite and went to greener pastures. A&M jumped at the chance to get away from them. OU won't go anywhere without TX, even leaving OK St behind to avoid losing the Whorns. They are forever each other's bitches.

No I just get it. Your desparation for relevancy makes you do dumb shite like claiming yourselves somebody's biggest rival. Like texsa for years, and now like you do with LSU. You're nobody's "biggest rival" in terms of teams that matter. You never will be. Just deal with it.

I'd be shocked if you're actually an Aggie. I mean, a Former Student. You sound like an 11 yr old, or a complete white-trash t-shirt fan.

Maybe you should start wearing burnt orange- you'd be a better representative of Texas A&M than your current trash-mouth stupid rants.

Class of 1999

Who are you to question me, newb?

Get that sanctimonious tampon out of your twat and come back with some respect.

Dude, don’t you dare go against the family in public here on the rant, we have a reputation to upkeep that it’s a cult and all groupthink, you’re ruining that.

Also, it’s the rant, if that post offended you, you probably should find a different message board.

It's amazing. You all have no self awareness.

Aggies are insufferable when they are losing. You are 1m times worse when you stumble into a win.

People root for you to lose because you don't know how to win with a modicum of humility or grace. You are the worst.

I despise UT and I was pulling for them on Sunday. Trust me, that is not because I see A&M as a bigger rival

ou saw it Friday when we played OU in game 1.

They always claim OU is their main rival, but never root for us to beat them when we are playing OU

they wanted you to lose to make our game even better if they had won plus we are in the same conference now and get tired of hearing how good A@M is when they never win a game in any sport!

The 'sips look down upon Aggy as someone they see as an inferior. Deep inside, they have just never gotten beyond the days of leather helmets and an all-male student body. I think back in my childhood to the books of Aggie Jokes published by t.u., and every joke played to those stereotypes. 'Sips are raised on them. Yes, they want to beat Aggy, badly, but it is more from a sense of not wanting to be embarrassed than "hatred." By analogy, it is similar to Aggy feelings about Tech.

The 'sips HATE Oklahoma with the heat of ten thousand suns, mostly because Okie sees Okie as the superior, and the 'sips disagree (strongly). 'Sips see Okie as a true rival for greatness. They are LESS embarrassed about losses to Okie, because they see Okie as (more or less) their equals ... and they don't see many that way.

'Sips cheer for OU against Aggy, because their little minds simply cannot handle the possibility that their "rival for greatness" might be defeated by lowly Aggy. It's like they think it would damage them by osmosis.

AggieHank86 has a good read on this. We all have our own personal reasons for our choices. I was born in Austin.

Texas and A&M, are separated by a cultural divide, but we are are always Texans first. Austin, the Capitol of Texas, or the train water stop between Dallas & Houston. Farmers & Mechanics or Doctors, Lawyers & Bankers. Old money v. The Nuevo rich.

Hearing for 50 years that A&M is better than Texas, that George Woodard is better than Earl Campbell, that Reggie is better than Vince, I take it personally that these untruths need to be corrected.

Texas and OU Culture divide? Culture? Please. OU’s identity is about breaking the rules to win. This was always about football. ‘74 OU weekend in Dallas was off the charts. Always football. Earl Campbell & Billy Sims. Colt & Sam Bradford. Vince & … doesn’t matter.

quote:

There is a difference between the school you like to beat the most and the school you like to see lose the most.

I want to beat OU in Dallas. We have to play them for that to happen. I want the aggies to lose. We don’t have to play ‘em for that to happen.

I didn’t mind that the ‘74 & ‘75 OU games were not televised (OU probation), I was there. I will always blame A&M for us losing the Thanksgiving Game time slot (A&M probation).

Well, when Texas coaches lose to A&M usually somebody is fired. Tonight, the sips fired their pitching coach.

For me, it depends on how the question is worded.. You asked who I despise the most.. and the answer is Oklahoma for me.

Oklahoma is our #1 rival in Football. It carries over to the other sports.. but it just isn’t quite the same. We don’t know many Okies.. and we despise everything about them. They have owned us lately; but we are one of the few teams with a winning record against them.

Texas A&M is everywhere around us.. and despite what you read on message boards.. we all have good friends on both sides of the rivalry.. it is heated and you never want to lose that game, because it will suck for a whole year at the water cooler.

I’m a big baseball guy.. and the loss sucked this week because I personally hate A&M baseball more then Oklahoma. So pickling the sport matters to me.. Ironically, the loss didn’t hurt as bad as I thought it would.. we just didn’t have the horses this year and so if it wasn’t this game.. it was gonna be soon. That being said, as I get older, perhaps I just don’t care as much anymore.

Football only. You never want to lose to either school. Never. But if I had to pick one game to play.. I would always pick the Oklahoma game. That was true 25 years ago.. it is true today.

All that being said.. they are both great rivals and rivalries are what make college sports better than professional sports.

It is 11:00 pm cst and Oklahoma still sucks..
and A&M swallows.. F both of them.

It's pure hatred with OU, with A&M it's centered around ridicule.

There was a long run when Sooner & the Hogs were the top 2 hated rivals & A&M was that red headed cousin that was a little slow and a lot of creepy, but you enjoyed tormenting him because it was so damn fun.

That's because we explicitly think of Texas A&M as "lesser" than us, while we don't quite feel that way about Oklahoma. Oklahomans, sure...but the school itself is a fellow blue blood.

Losing to A&M is just an embarrassment for everyone involved. Almost as bad as losing to Kansas.

Looks like they are going to really start getting used to being embarrassed.

Will not be Sark. Unfortunately he will be fired prior to us playing. But of course, they will just replace him with another average coach.

Same feeling from the east side of the Brazos. The hate has turned to who cares from both sides. Will it return? Who knows. It's a fight every weekend over here. Kansas, Iowa State (perhaps the wrong examples) don't exist.

You're not that important

Probably had something to do with being the preseason #1 and finishing 5th in the Big 12.
