Pulling on the rim would but that didn’t occur.

I'm just trying to gauge level of obstruction to which a goaltending should be called

Pull down rim is a yes?

Hand up through the basket is a no?

shite, why doesn't every team do that??

LSU fans are so ignorant. The ball isn't in the cylinder, so it's not goal tending.

When you touch the basketball, it’s goaltending. That’s why teams don’t do it.

But the ball wouldn't be in the cylinder yet so it is no goaltending. Perfectly legal play. Well executed

So attempted interference with the basket is ok?

Even if the defensive player touches the rim??

That's not defensive goaltending, however it was offensive goaltending. You don't like this answer? Read the fricking rule book.

And convenient to not include a clip of your boy touching while it was still in the cylinder after the fact.

Again, I don't keep up with basketball or know the subtle nuances of the rules... just trying to clarify

As for the rule book, I ain't reading that shite, although I did make an honest stab at wikipedia to try and learn more... please give me your honest, rule based opinion on the incident... would love to learn more

I guess everyone at ESPN is dumb too. They said the same damn thing during the half at Duke/Louisville. Will Wade has to cringe at the stupidity down there.

No it’s not. The ball isn’t in the basket or cylinder at that point.

You also can't shake the rim or backboard when the ball is touching the backboard, which it's about to do when that picture was taken. It messes up the trajectory of the ball off the backboard.

Basket interference, whatever you wanna call it, guy clearly is moving the goal around going through the net and hitting rim while ball was on or near backboard.

If you're calling our goaltending, have to call that before it anyways.

There's no way you can be this stupid. Absolutely no way. I get the argument for the LSU tip, it's debatable...this isn't. At all
