Just a thought: this is Georgia's and Auburn's best year to make a run

LSU and Bama could go without missing a beat, but both have younger teams. Both do return phenomenal young starters with great experience, but also have new qbs and other inexperienced areas.

While both our talent surpasses everyone else, inexperience will play a role.

So if y'all ever had a chance to win it all in the next five years, it's this year.

I personally think this will be the first year the SEC doesn't make the playoff.

LSU had 14 players drafted. That’s a significant amount. Obviously there’s still a ton of talent on the team, but I don’t think you can state there’s still clearly more talent on the roster than Georgia.

And there’s no way to leave an SEC team out of the playoffs right now. A 2 loss SEC Champ gets in over 1 loss in the PAC 12, ACC, or Big 12 probably. Auburn had losses going into the SEC Champ in 2017 and was still ranked 2nd.

First off, don’t lump us in with a team that hasn’t won since 1980.

Auburn pretty much loss both LOS ...14 senior starters total.

Actually last year was supposed to be a "the year"

We'll be fine IF we avoid injuries to the OL and Zeus steps up at the RB position along with Freshman.

Defense should be better than last year.

Gotta find a solid replacement for the kicker as well

But that team has beat yours every year their coach has been there. How will auburn make the playoffs with losses to UGA and bama?

Sorry but I have to.

Y'all are in the west, so the two teams mentioned are in your division. It's your chance to run it.

And Georgia is in the lEast.

And it’s Florida’s best chance this year as well.

On paper, UGA has way more talent than anyone, even Bama

Auburn lost their entire OL and DL and have a shite QB. 2020 isn't Auburn's year.

That's exactly why this may be the year. You must be new to SEC football if you don't know that we tend to lay an egg when we go into a season with high rankings and expectations. However, we tend to come out of nowhere and have a great season when everyone writes us off. Having a talented (though still young) QB return along with some good talent at the skill positions makes us really dangerous.

We truly are the most rollercoaster program in the SEC if not the nation.

Auburn always does well when little is expected of them it seems: 1997, 2004, 2013, 2017. Otoh y'all had high hopes in 2003, 2007 and 2015 and flamed out

Troof.

Sometimes I wonder how much fun being an Auburn fan must be.

Not in the last 6 years. You lose 4 or more under Gus, it’s like clockwork.

And you said the exact same thing last year. The "you never what Auburn's gonna do" narrative is getting tiresome.
We kind of do know what Auburn's gonna do with Gus...it's been a pretty clear pattern.2013 was the exception, not the rule.

I've also watched enough CFB to know how difficult it is to replace 14 senior starters and virtually the entire starting OL and DL.

30 of LSU’s 37 points vs UGAy were scored by a returning starter.

7
of UGAy’s 10 points were scored by a returning starter.
