Heard some rumors on another board regarding the same. Pate unofficially confirmed it today. Reading between the lines Milton was suspended and the team(notably the OL) allowed USF to to have multiple free shots at the QBs. I haven't seen the game, but there was a lot of talk immediately after the game on boards about offensive lineman completely whiffing to the point it was noticeable.
If any of this is true, there's bigger problems in Tuscaloosa than anyone imagined.

Presumably just about any offensive lineman good enough to sign with Bama has at least an outside shot at the NFL. Why the hell would anyone jeopardize their status in the eyes of the NFL because of the QB? If the guy who got benched was my best friend and the guy who took his place was my worst enemy, I would still block my arse off. You're blocking for your future, not the QB.
