I was surprised at the atmosphere there this weekend. Oklahoma really is an SEC worthy program.
OU fans know we can get crazy. Before the SEC move, the program had grown stagnant. Maybe one big game at home each year, and that was usually OCC games. ISU or KSU would alwasy be played at 11:00am, zero juice for the games, we would flounder around and they'd beat us, or we'd barely win. The Big 12 was cheeks—but it didn’t take much effort to win that league. And as we all remember, when it came time for a championship or a big bowl against the real heavyweights, we’d get embarrassed. That wasn’t just on Riley for letting things soften; from the administration down to the fans, everyone got a little lazy.
Then TBOW bailed, and OU got a reality check last year. But here’s the thing—OU is still OU. When this program is motivated, it belongs at the top. So far, it looks like we’ve taken that wake-up call seriously.

Everyone hates Texas but your all gonna find out why Texas hates OU soon, Bama knows already.
Why? Because we win and beat your arse more often than not?

As a parent of a college student, OU would reciprocate with New Mexico, Arkansas, Colorado , Missouri and Kansas on in-state tuition+/- 5%. All the states that border Oklahoma, except ...
Texas.
Both states refuse to reciprocate with each other. In Oklahoma, that means an extra $17k-$18k per year in you go there from Texas, and there's a lot of DFW area students that go there because they were not in the top 5% of their class, which are now primarily eastern Asians and Dots. Nobody wants to go to TAMU and and that cult weirdness, so they go to OU or TCU or SMU. And unless you want a geology and petroleum engineering degree, nobody wants to go out the way out to Lubbock.
And if you're wanting to go into Petroluem Engineering and Geology, OU would be a better choice over Tech anyway.

16. Zach Calzada, Kentucky He has the SEC's worst QB stats by a mile- 47% completions, 4.4 yards per throw, no passing touchdowns.
Can Stoops spot a qb in the portal or what? Dude makes Vandagriff look like Tom Brady. Okay, maybe not that dramatic, but he makes him look like an NFL journeyman backup.

Dude is so much better than Nuss it’s hysterical.

Headline is rat poison. Mateer is going to have some rough games he’s more a gunslinger like Favre was in early days. Too many good DC’s on conf and he’ll have some rough moments. I love what he’s doing though. And love how humble he is.

That Michigan team is the definition of average. They were replacing a ton of talent and had an 18-year-old quarterback and lost 3 defensive starters during the game(plus their best player was suspended the first half).
That average Michigan team has 1 definite NFL linebacker and about 3 offensive linemen. Plus, a future NFL running back (#1 RB recruit in the nation) as well as the #1 HS quarterback in the nation.
I'd have to say from watching this game very closely that Michigan and OU were very evenly matched talent-wise, but OU blew them up early in the game and they (Michigan) could never get their footing. I doubt any QB in America could have picked up many first downs in that game, facing the OU defense that night.
We'll see how Michigan does the rest of the season.

Put them in the SEC, where would they be ranked? I wouldn’t have them in the top 10. Vandy would beat them
Michigan is very mid.
shite, Bert and Illinois are better than them now.

Agree with your Top 3...Diego is no joke and reminds me of our very own Chase Daniel. He plays with a lot of heart.
With that said...Believe in Beau. He is also the real deal. Both these guys are going to give top tier teams problems this year.

I joked after week one, but after this past weekend, Pribula is squarely on my radar.

What a pile of garbage by the creator of the ranking. In one paragraph, he states that one player’s good stats mean nothing while praising another QB for performing well against trash teams. Inconsistencies and contradictions everywhere.

7. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU, is to high the way hes been playing....nothing but open grass and he still refuses to run.

People doubting Mateer are just plain stupid … Michigan defense is always good … they are good to great this season also. Before the game they said they went 8 deep at DT. You can say a lot of Michigan’s offense but to try and punish Mateer becuase Michigan was shut down by OUs defense is laughable what does that have anything to do with Mateer on offense ? I don’t see any of your schools scheduling the games OU does . When it’s all said and done OU will have zero doubters . The schedule dictates it . We have beaten a team most in the sec would not have . Bama couldn’t do it last year . With a worse offense . Neither could Ohio state .

In addition, she came out of OU without the baggage of liberal enlightenment,
Appreciate the nice comments about OU...
But I wish we had you on the OU boards because people there are constantly bitching that OU is nothing BUT a "liberal indoctrination factory"... and I'm sick of hearing it. I have two nephews and a second cousin who have come out of there much like your daughter did.
I will say this about OU. Because we aren't a research powerhouse... the University has spent a lot more time and effort on providing a better undergraduate experience for the students. OU is also kind of in the sweet spot as far as size to be able to do that. Also, the city of Norman despite its large size and actually being in a 1.5 million metro... maintains a pretty intimate "college town" atmosphere in and around the campus. It feels smaller than it really is which I think helps.

The small college town feel was what we wanted, which OU delivers.
I think that what kids get out of it depends on the kid and parental engagement. We were there for everything we could, whether sports, and us hosting or contributing to tailgate parties, volunteering at her sorority, helping with parents weekends, active engagement in monitoring class progress, researching professors, just really engaged and supportive, not just drop 'em off and hope for the best.
Also, my daughter, who is model level beautiful, but doesn't play it up on Instagram, is very picky about who her friends are and did not favor others who weren't taking their student role seriously and just went through the motions.
She did so well there that the Price College of Business has paid for her expenses to come back as a judge in academic challenges for seniors who must develop and submit a business plan and pitch for angel investors before a group of business execs, financial analysts and investment execs that have all been through the program and are successful business leaders.
Finally, she is also very reverent, spiritual and genuinely kind to others, not kind just to be polite, but kind, as in, she genuinely is a happy person and shares her happiness by being a beacon of kindness to everyone. She does not fit in with the leftist crowd, at all.
Her one true fault lies in her lack of a good loving relationship with her brother, almost 6 years her junior, but as she's matured and he's gone off to college they have been able to close the gap significantly and now talk every week to stay in touch.
Yes, we have been fortunate. Thanks for noticing.
