Daly is a national treasure but he is wrong on this.
This is exactly the point John. If you want the average fan to give more money, give them a product they're not ashamed of. Everyone isn't in his position to have money to throw away and most aren't going to the games simply to socialize and be the media darling.

I suppose as a sports "character" he is...
But he is not really a good representative for those who insist that golfers are athletes.... and that golf is a sport requiring true athleticism and conditioning.
