Not quite a Stanley Wilson missing the Super Bowl type of frick up... but in the ball park.

No, blowing his NFL career was his biggest FU.

He’s an addict.

And he lives and acts like one.

Until (big if) he gets his life under control, I hope Texas A&M refrains from ever involving him in any official university-related event again. Word is that Elko won’t let him around the team — that needs to be a school-wide policy.

Anything else is just enabling him. Such a disappointment.

I rabidly defended him.

I could even overlook everything as he was a stupid collegiate athlete.

But then that documentary on Netflix- not one ounce of contrition and then his dad saying a football coach should have turned his son into a Man. Nope, Dad, that was YOUR job.

He shite on his NFL opportunity.

So him flaking out yesterday- completely on brand.

We played ranked teams that dropped out after beating them. If only final rankings matter, why have weekly updates?

Only final rankings matter. Do you think LSU and Clemson were top ten teams this year?

But he’s 33 now. A&M has stood behind him. That’s his community.

Well now they have an entire offseason to think about what was, what could have been, and how Manziel couldn't even bother showing up after agreeing to. I think this should be the final straw. If I were a fan/booster that had stood behind him, it certainly would be for me. As far as fanbase psychology goes, big losses demand a villain, and he is a candidate. His lack of presence almost certainly didn't affect the outcome, but fan is short for fanatic.

Stop with this "inner demons" bullshite. He's just an immature arse bag who'd rather get wasted than fulfill his responsibilities.

To be honest, I don’t think anyone really cares about him anymore, which is a sad ending for someone who once had heroic status among our fanbase. We’ve pretty much come to expect this type of behavior from him.

And I haven't seen a single person blame our inept performance yesterday on Manziel. But I get what you’re saying.
