Considering we don't even know who is on our roster next year, I would say the poll is aptly named.

I would expect Arkansas to be ranked in the top 15 with most of the freshmen returning and new transfers coming in.

The love that Jeff Goodman has for Nate Oats knows no bounds.

Bama will be insane. All lost players were inconsistent offensively. Now oats has pure scorers everywhere

It's just ridiculous to make any ranking until the transfer market is over. Arkansas of all programs, is probably the most affected by the portal. Musselman already has one top 10 Xfer in the fold and will probably get one or two more.

Will he still love Oates when he is gone next season?

I feel like MSU should be preseason top 25 considering our NIT run and we return 95% of scoring production

Interesting take

I’m not sure if they will be better or not, but the statement that the losses are inconsistent on offense is 100% true.

Alabama looks about right, but Arkansas is too low. I think both should be "lowish Top 10".

Only a Bama fan would lose the defensive player and SEC player of the year and say "WE'RE GOING TO BE BETTER".
This is why everyone can't stand ya'll.

No Alabama fan thinks much of the basketball program. Just want to get better. Arkansas won a title 25 years ago and think they are Wooden’s UCLA. That is just one of many reasons no one can stand y’all.

Amateur basketball fans look at things like individual awards for one player and decide what that means for an entire roster.
If you paid attention you'd note we return a core of players who were most of our best players the last month of the season and bring in the best PG recruit in the country to fill a hole desperately missing this season - ability to break down the defense one on one and finish at the rim.
We probably won't have a better win loss record, but I think we'll be a better all around team and have a better chance in the tournament.
Hope that amateur fan analysis is worthy of your time.

We've been trash for years and finally woke up with a good coaching hire. No one has denied that.
Ya'll have one really good year in the league with a senior laden team and you're suddenly next up for the national championship and perrennial top 10.
The assumption that you're only going to get better losing a ton of seniors, one of which was defensive and SEC player of the year is absurd.

desperately missing?
You had a 5 star from Nova that does just that. Your coach just didn't figure it out until the 2nd half of the UCLA game and insisted on thinking Herb Jones was a LeBron level point forward.
Your hack and jack game plan got figured out by teams that slow you down and play hard perimeter defense.
Bama fans unwillingess to question Oats and his system is what everyone is laughing at.

We will return probably as much or more production and minutes as anybody in the league and it will be supplemented by a Top 5 recruiting class.

Worked wonders for Cal this year.

Wrong. JQ is a great player, but he is not a sudden one on one breakdown guy, and he struggles to finish at the rim against bigs. See UCLA.
