Both QBs are trash.

Winston is a borderline personality.

Cam is a diva, semi-closeted strange-o.

Teams would be far better off band-aiding with someone like Ryan Fitzpatrick and drafting.

and NFL players told you that too. He has been voted top 100 how many times by the other players?

Serious question......who is the last NFL MVP to come out of LSU?

Thru 9 years in the league Newton is a below 60% passer & has thrown 25+ TD's once. What you see is what you get.
?? You sound like CNN’s reporting on President Trump. I love how you failed to mention what he does well and what he has accomplished, in order to give a fair assessment. Former NFL MVP, NFL Offensive POY, NFL Rookie of the year, 3 pro bowls, First team All-Pro QB, has won a lot more games than he has lost, has thrown for almost 200 TDs and almost 30,000 yards, run for another 5,000 yards and almost 60 TDs , former National Champ, Heisman winner, AP College and SEC POY, and every college offensive award there is.

What you see is what you get. The only reason he isn’t signed yet is because of a shoulder injury, among other lingering ailments. His talent has never been questioned.

I don’t know where Cam Newton will play, but he will forever have a rent free place in the Rant’s head.

We can dig deeper.. advanced metrics will show you the same across the board. Over 9 years Cam is a bottom half starting QB.

Not horrible, very serviceable but he is what he is & it’s more likely to transition to the decline than some sudden spike.

This isn’t rocket science. Closer to data analytics for dummies.

So how many bottom half starting QBs has won NFL MVP and taken their team to the Super Bowl? Just give me one example in the history of the NFL.

You didn’t refute anything I said. You know why? Because you can’t. If you want to talk about his transition into the coming years, that is moving the goalposts from your original post and point you were trying to make. You referenced his last 9 years, not his coming years in the future.

I directly refuted what you said by pointing out that you selectively cherry picked certain statistics that were underwhelming( which are very few), while refusing to acknowledge the things he did that were outstanding( which are very many).

Nice try. Try again.

I’ll even go this far.. if not for Cam’s shoulder injury, he would be an upgrade to Dak Prescott for the Cowboys. Similar player and skills but Dak is a watered down version of Cam.

If I were New England I take Jameis in a NY second

The guy has the talent to make big plays, you can't coach that, but you can coach a guy into making a lot less mistakes to go along with those big plays

IMO Jameis has way more upside than all the other free agent QBs that are available

Cam I would guess Chargers, Raiders, or Broncos if he’s willing to take less money to play with Melvin Gordon.

Without Cam AU is on a 60 plus year NC drought and the shame that comes with it. He is definitely the player who did more for his school than any other player in SEC history.

And what do your comments above have to do with what happens in that Sunday League?

Rich Gannon comes to mind. He had 4 notable seasons over a 16 year career. Jon Gruden helped make him a known quantity in Oak, and then, ironically as the opposing HC, helped him have one of the worst SB performances ever as a QB (5 INTs with 3 Pick-6s)

Gannon was good, not great.

And, Priest Holmes deserved the MVP that year.
