I'm not gonna worry about where it's played until we get a staff capable of putting us there every year. Another awful fricking night by UKs bullpen and defensively. Mitch has to let Mingione go at seasons end. This shite ain't working.

Memphis would be a good spot. Awesome park.
But would like to see it rotated.

Regions Park in Downtown Bham is the best AA Park in the Country. It would be an easy move. It just down the street from the SEC home office. It’s safe and a lot of new apartments are being built. Restaurants and breweries everywhere. It’s basically on the campus of UAB. UAB has been rebuilt over the last 10 years. UAB is basically brand new. It could be a contractual issue. Who knows. But it’s time. Birmingham will lose this if they don’t make a move just like everything else

SEC Office officials won't let it move because Hoover is convenient for them. They all have to go to Destin in JUne and do not want to travel in May.
Note: I go every year and it is State people who have a huge number of RV's every year.

Dickie-Stephens isn't really that great in LR, but I'm probably biased by Baum

Move it from that outdated concrete jungle of a park and move it to a Bham new park or Memphis.
I’d rather it be located in areas not populated by criminals looking to rob people

I can see a Parking issue at Regions but that can be worked out for the Tournament. Blocking off streets etc. But Regions has a Beergarten in the Left field area.

What are you smoking? LSU fans want it moved out of Hoover. Hoover is who cries about keeping it there because they have RV parking.

I don't know a single person down here that wants it to stay in Hoover.
Stop making shite up

We missed this annual fun debate last year because there wasn't one. I no longer go so my RV reason no longer applies but Hoover does a good job with it. I don't really care anymore but the players and coaches like it. The community supports it. I think there are a few more years on the contract so maybe premature to start muh Birmingham, muh Memphis, etc., etc.

Both mwlewis and WildcatMike are crying about LSU fans when most LSU fans want it to be moved too.
Projection much?

quote:We have a group called the Rolling Bulldogs and they do a good job of coordinating trips to away venues in football, do an extravaganza get away in the Summer but Hoover is always a well attended trip. We group and plan meals together several nights over there depending on schedule but it's one of the most fun trips we do. Someone on this said maybe 2 to 3 per RV but tons of folks come over for a day or two because they have a place to land with some of the folks with RVs. Most everyone buys tournament passes whether they go to just State games or all. I would say the RV group is only second to locals in attending (butts in seats) for the tournament.
Note: I go every year and it is State people who have a huge number of RV's every year.

What in the fug is the fascination with Memphis? Have u ever been to that park? U do not want to be there after sunset. I like Biloxi or Pensacola fine but anybody that finds Memphis appealing has never been there. That is the literal armpit of Tennessee.

Dallas.
Actually Frisco (DFW area) or Sugar Land (Houston).
In the meantime we are just hanging out hoping to make the tournament for our one and done.

echoing some of the others, bhams new field is quite awesome, however, there is less than zero parking for anything larger than an extended cab long bed. I don't even think there is a bus parking area outside of team busses but I could be wrong on that point.
Side note, I remember my dad driving an RV into NYC once when I was about 14. Still laugh every time I think about it. Miss ya old man.
