They think a WR slowly meandering outside the hash and lining up like normal is "substitution deception". Cuz everybody knows when teams sub players in and out, they all slowly meander on and off the field.

Auburn fans making their whining this week about 2013
nice deflection for your soft AD

Once again, having an excuse or being a victim is vital to the Auburn ethos. They eat that shite up.

shite. They are still mad about 2013, when they lost the IB without any bad calls.
There was one terrible call.
To go for a 57 yard field goal with only slow linemen on the field.

Humanity is disappointed in John Cohen. We deserve better.

Can you explain or point me to it?
In their September 2025 game, Oklahoma broke NCAA Rule 9-2, Article 2, which prohibits "unfair tactics" and specifically forbids using simulated substitutions to confuse an opponent. The violation occurred during a second-quarter touchdown play.
How the play unfolded:
Oklahoma wide receiver Isaiah Sategna stayed on the field after the previous play.
He started jogging toward the sideline, as if he was substituting out of the game.
Just before crossing the sideline, Sategna suddenly stopped and ran to an open position downfield.
Because the Auburn defense was fooled into thinking he was leaving the field, Sategna was wide open to receive a 24-yard touchdown pass.
Oklahoma fans are dumb

That call did not directly cost Auburn the football game.
This one however did absolutely cost Arkansas a win. Auburn has not vacated it.

For a detailed explanation of why it was not an illegal play and why everyone thinks it was go to this thread on the Oklahoma forum.
Auburn fans are a bunch of female genitalia.

How the hell do you intentionally ground a backwards pass?

It’s been 12 years and Auburn has lost five straight against Alabama. Move on
It’s been five days and Auburn lost. Move on.

It’s Thursday and Bama fans are still obsessing about Auburn.

If they didn't average less than 2 yards rushing, or didn't give up 10 sacks, they might've won.

What's dumb is everyone accepting what a network "rules analyst" said was an illegal play without having actually seen any evidence.
I have watched and rewatched the network broadcast of that play. During the broadcast a key part of the play was not shown as what everyone saw were shots on the sideline of OU OC Arbuckle and another of the Auburn band.
After getting the ball and then a holding penalty it was 1st and 20 from the 22-yard line. On 1st & 20 OU ran a play with RB Blaylock being tackled for a 2-yard loss.
Sategna had gone in motion from right to left in an attempt to draw the defense away from the RB which did not work but after the play, he stopped then continued to towards the sideline where he lined up for the 2nd down play.
That was when the network started showing Arbuckle, the band and then Arbuckle again. What we missed was the officials spotting the ball and OU running to the line to go uptempo.
It was only after the play had started that the network hurriedly cut back to the play on the field so no one saw how OU was lined up or the snap. What everyone saw was Mateer dropping back and throwing the ball to a receiver who was not in the shot until the camera followed the path of the ball to Sategna now inside the 5-yard line and subsequent score.
After the play Freeze was upset but not because of how the play was run but with the officials because he had been trying to call timeout when he saw OU go uptempo, he knew his defense was not set and that was why they lost track of where Sategna had lined up.
It wasn't unitl the PAT and a commercial break the "rules analyst" comes on and opines that it might have been an illegal play even as he admitted he did not see where Sategna was prior to the TD.
And that is what started all the wailing and gnashing of teeth over this.
