It’s not fair that Auburn gets UGA while Bama gets UT every year

It’s like the SEC favors Alabama or something

It is also unfair to the rest of the SEC that Bama gets LSU every year. Both are automatic wins.

We have always played a tougher schedule than Bama or frankly anyone else in the SEC. There are several articles that have been written that prove this definitively, AU has played more games against the big 6 than any other team, has faced the highest opponent winning percentage in the SEC, etc.

The only thing I don't like as an Aubie is UGA looks set to dominate the east and be a regular fixture in Atl now. I think there will be more seasons over the next several years where UGA enters the AU game having already clinched the east with AU needing to beat UGA to get to Atl. Just like this year, even when we are better than UGA, beating them twice to close out the season is going to be a situation we fail at a lot more than we succeed.

And yeah, FTR, I do think we were a better team than UGA this year.

One game, neutral site, no revenge factor, both teams healthy I personally think we win 75% of the time.

Unfortunately I don't think this will be the last time a beat up AU heads to Atl against a healthy UGA looking for revenge.

Here are those numbers, FYI..

Games played against the Big 6 in SEC History (1933-2017):

1. Auburn- 316
2. Florida- 293
3. Alabama- 291
4. Georgia- 276
5. Tennessee- 243
6. LSU- 233

Big 6 Win% Since 1933:

1. Alabama- 62.4%
2. Florida- 50.2%
3. Auburn- 48.1%
4. Georgia- 46.7%
5. LSU- 45.49%
6. Tennessee- 45.47%

UGA, AU & UT should make simple schedule changes that would be good for all three.

Swap the Sept UGA vs UT game with the Nov UGA vs AU game.

Iow, UGA vs AU game played in Sept and UGA vs UT game played in Nov.

Better for AU & UGA to play that cross-div game earlier in the season (in case of SEC-CG rematch) and it also spreads out UT's difficult games.

You can believe what you want to believe.

It doesn't make it true.
It seems like we beat you routinely about 75% of the time.

Our team has been pretty dominant at home this year. And our neutral site games (where we took over the opponents stadium) ended pretty favorably as well.

It's not fair that LSU gets Florida every year. You ready to stop the permanent cross division games now?

Hard to argue this, except the last part. Just need to stay healthy.

If UGA had to play Bama every year they'd be in the same boat UT is right now. Their whole program would be decimated.

It's called the process

Easier said than done. AU plays UGA, a cupcake, then UA. Pretty good chance AU will be banged up some going into the SEC CG.
