Lame 0-5 vs Bama. He’s due!! You know, blind hog…….

Reminds me a lot of BK, he doesn't blow many people out, teams look soft, no run game, offense never flows well, they don't usually go beat other teams, they wait around for the other team to lose the game. He's good enough that a lot of fans are still bought in, but bad enough that there's a lot against him.
His Achilles heel seems to be unranked teams, where BK's was big games, however, DeBoer has started losing a lot of big games lately.

Yep. The first OU loss and last year’s FSU loss were inexcusable.

That is the norm now. Every team loses a ton of players every year now.

Meh, two things can be true at once.
He's a good coach, and his agent suckered Alabama into giving him a raise/extension in a year where he was blown out in 2 of his final 3 games.
And even the win at Oklahoma took a furious comeback to pull out.
Eta- 2 of 3 not 3 of 4
We didn't have a bad season last year.
If LSU had that season you would have probably giving him an even bigger extension and raise.
You did it for a guy who made the playoffs for another team and has a losing record against ranked teams.

Is it also the norm to start recruiting in Jan to replace them after all the recruits are signed elsewhere?

Yes, he's (Kiffin) better.
...and it's not close.

Always dumb to give a guy with a massive guaranteed contract an unneeded extension/raise, it's an unforced error.
A&M has did it with both Jimbo and Elko, it's just dumb.

It’s pretty obvious he leveraged the PSU and Michigan openings into a handshake agreement. Truth is he was getting it regardless of what he did in the playoffs. Proof positive that he was “rewarded” after a 35 point quarterfinal loss. The Bama AD and president must hate him now but i can understand them not wanting to be forced into another potential coaching search in January

^LSU fan telling other schools how they should hire coaches as if they didn't end up effectively paying BK 23 million a year.
If LSU had the season Alabama had last year, you guys would be going crazy about how great your coach is. You spent as much for a coach who accomplished less with a loyalty level so low he bailed on them before the end.

Yea except we didn’t have $45M to replenish it. Probably not half of that.

How far did your coach and team get again?
Not even good enough to face a team like Indiana.

True. Not sure what Bama's NIL spend is, but LSU absolutely emptied the state coffers to fund Kiffin and his portal players. It is going to be glorious when the bottom falls out and they have nothing to show for it other than a massive buyout and major NCAA sanctions.

All this BS arguing about who is better and which coach deserve what doesn’t matter Nov 7th.The best team will win and fans of both schools will overreact and want their coaches fired if they lose.Past history is useless as new coaches and players now change year to year and parity is here and won’t leave anytime soon.So whoever thinks the past predicts the future are fools.

Did you mean to reply to me? I’m not sure how what you wrote relates to what I wrote.
I wrote Deboer inherited Bama and did not hold the team together
Kiffin built ole miss then LSU to where they are. LSU was awful last year. Our offense is much improved and we’ve had opportunities to win every game this year.

So Deboer inherited Saban’s team and couldn’t convince 1/2 of them not to transfer out and you use this to prop up your belief that he wasn’t given the keys to a well oiled machine?
Kiffin built Ole Miss then took LSU who could only score 30 points against an FCS team in the regular season to what it is now.
Deboer is responsible for holding the team together.
Kiffin and Ole Miss last year were mostly a product of having the easiest schedule in the SEC, he still managed 2 losses and couldn't make the SECCG.
#4 Alabama - 2.97
#5 Texas - 2.82
#7 Florida - 2.72
#8 Auburn - 2.57
#10 Arkansas - 2.50
#11 South Carolina - 2.42
#12 Kentucky - 2.38
#15 LSU - 2.29
#17 Miss St - 2.23
#20 Missouri - 2.13
#21 Oklahoma - 2.09
#22 Tennessee - 2.05
#23 Georgia - 2.04
#36 Texas A&M -1.70
#39 Vandy - 1.57
#48 Ole Miss - 1.35
Alabama's schedule was more than twice as difficult as Ole Miss last year. Alabama this year thus far has the #2 most difficult schedule played as well, but that may change today when they get updated. I'm not sure which direction.
DeBoer inherited a team that needed a 4th and 31 to beat a team with a losing record. The only reason Alabama made it to the playoffs was because of beating Georgia in the SECCG. Oh, and Deboer made it to the playoffs with Washington and beat Texas in the semi-finals before any of you start that "But ole Miss" response.
He was hired in Jan, most of them announced and committed to other teams before he was even hired. Even then it would have been a matter of wanting the guys around and if they fit his scheme.
He's having better seasons in transitions than your teams are elsewhere. There is a reason why you want to compare him to Saban rather than your own glass houses.
