Honestly, after the bear mascot fiasco, most Ole Miss fans simply don't care any longer about what cartoon character is being put on the sidelines for little kids to see. It seems to be of more interest for those outside of Ole Miss.

Says a member of the fanbase who claims knowledge of the inner workings of Leo Lewis's recruitment and would side with the story of an uneducated sidewalk fan of your university over the results of a full, documented NCAA investigation.

Man, take the log out of your eye before you point out the speck in anyone else's.

Guts? When will LSU be doing the same? They used to play dixie all the time. Go and ask the golden band from tigerland to take a neck break and play what you want them to.

Some of you need to stop living vicariously through the Ole Miss.

"Shame on OM for not playing Dixie anymore"

"OM is the most rascist institution and fan base in the world!"
"My school is totally not rascist!"
"I'm not a rascist but I want OM to bring back their tradishuns!"

The term rebel isn't overtly racist. Nobody is shouting for UNLV to drop the Rebels name. However, UNLV does not have to shoulder the past events that cast a negative light. OM does and rightly so. It's something that will always have to be addressed and taken into account.

Listen, starting a war against America on your campus over segregation was bad, but I'm not sure it's guy-in-a-shark-outfit bad

Last year's big thing was McElwain abusing a shark.

This year it's a shark abusing a whole fan base.

It's 2018. I can learn everything about Tony Fein from my phone while filling my truck with gas.

Propping up a figure like Fein and then not presenting the whole story is just willful ignorance

Well it's for the kids ya know... Can't we just leave some not so great details out. Whats the harm in that?

Also, glass houses and what not...

but I get your point. TF isn't the best role model ever.

I get it and agree.

As a non-rebel, I would think y'all need to keep the mascot fight going as long as possible. When the mascot is settled the powers that be are going after "ole miss". Everybody says it will never happen, but that's not how it looks from the outside looking in
