I've seen a ton of jokes being cracked about this mascot but this is the only one to actually make me chuckle.

It looks like they are doing the universal symbol for a fart.

Why is their mascot a dinosaur?

[quote]LINK ]

I came here for the laughs but after going through the above link and seeing how hard the marketing team worked to make this ok....now I just feel bad for Ole Miss. I confess I’d love it if this was happening to Auburn or Tennessee, but Christ, hasn’t Ole Miss suffered enough? Give them back Col Reb.

Yeah. As in Tony Fein. A former player who also fought for our country that started the tradition. But keep making fun of him and the tradition he started

Two can play that game. Every time y'all have made fun of Starkville then you've made fun of a Revolutionary War hero named John Stark, whom Starkville is named for.

Whatever he still looks like a pussy grey lizard grinning like a baby with gas. Landsharts forever

Give him back? Remember they're the PC idiots that took him away. They brought all this on themselves. My minor was in marketing and I could have saved y'all a helluva lot of laughs and money. All you had to do was change your onfield mascot to this James Dean/ The Fonz character as in Devil without a Cause and stuck him on a Harley. Then you could have stayed Rebels without a stupid bear or shark and you might have actually looked cool. But thank God you didn't

Full disclosure: I meant not insult in my above comment concerning idiots and to any idiot I may have harmed I meant in no way to lump y'all in with Ole Miss fans.

I think a name change from Ole Miss to Ole Fish is in order

The idea that they would incorporate a shark into their mascot is so dumb, it has to be true.

It is quite humorous that State fans know more about former Ole Miss players habits and problems than Ole Miss fans do. SMH. Even know what his habits were before the Army, Junior College and Ole Miss. You go to high school with him or something?

Wow. Damn. I though maybe he died in combat. I get the gut served in the military but that's an awful thing right there. Not really something you'd want to honor or have kids look up too. Is there more to the Fein story? Cause right now it's really underwhelming.

The Black Bear might have been terrible, but at least it was somewhat marketable.
