.....had the top defense in the conference and all of them won? If so, does UGA buck the trend this year?

That’s less than half. LSU has an historic offense. I’ll take the Tigers in this one.

So in 18 years, the top defensive team only made it to the game 8 times? That’s less than 50% of the time. What’s the top offense stats on the seccg?

Defense wins games if all else is equal. The problem is UGA’s offense is not good. LSU’s defense may not be great but they are better then UGA’s offense. UGA’s defense is great and helps their offense, yet their offense is still anemic. LSU’s offense hurts their defense but their defense is decent.
I think LSU has more balance and is a better overall team. But that’s why we play the games.
