They are the only sec team exhibiting dominance in offense and defense.

It’s like looking at a steamroller coming at you for this Saturday. I think LSU is truly the only team that has a chance at stopping them this year, but that’s only if they get their defense working.

I’ll give Auburn an outside shot at the upset because of the rivalry. But that’s improbable.

their defense isn't close to what some of their past ones were. Their offense is just as good as last year's but they really haven't been tested by anyone yet, and won't be until November.

No...not even close.

Their defense is far, far to young.

I said team, not defense. Yes the defense isn’t as great as some of those teams but their offense and defense are playing together at a level that make the team great.

Still no. Beating teams like OU has in the past doesn't stand up well in big games. Alabama has to find defense and a run game still to be as elite as some of their other teams.

They gave up 31 points to Ole Piss and 23 to South Crackerlina. Good thing they can score on offense.

Bama has unearthly skill position talent and impressive depth. But their defense is ripe for exactly the kind of exploiting that Aggie can do. You should be feeling good, Marge. Jimbo just needs to throw the book at them this week and let it rip and pray for turnovers. Ya never know.

Interesting question. They are clearly more balanced and more physical than LSU on both sides of the ball but I'm not sure it is their best team.

The best defense LSU has seen this year is texass and they suck arse on defense. I think they are something line 93rd in the nation... some 20 or so behind Texas Tech. If WVU QB doesn't completely shite the bed and throw 4 interceptions he easily ends up with over 500 yards passing on that "defense". He still threw at a 75% clip.

Really good question about Bama.

Most explosive offense? yes

Best defense? no. Front seven is an issue but backs are as good as any

I take it you don't give Jimbo and Co. much of a shot?..One thing A&M has for it is a mobile QB, something that Bama hates..We'll see.

Garbage time points

I think Saban has stopped caring as much about points after the game is already won they are playing more younger players later in the game

No. Last year they were talked about as being one of the best teams ever because they could finally throw the ball. This year they are dynamic on offense but not so good on defense

OMG NO! We aren’t even sure they are very good, much less best.

Defense looks poor at every position, can’t stop run, LB run into each other lose contain, pass rush absent, DB ok but just ok. OL was supposed to be good but isn't, can’t block for ground game, protection isn’t good either, Tua just gets rid of ball. Running game is worst I’ve seen in about 50 years, so can’t control a game when needed.

About the only thing this team has is a thrower and a bunch of catchers... (not talking Aggie here). I still think Alabama could lose three games. We will see.
