Since the NCAA screwed this whole thing up by changing the eligibility rules AFTER players had already been forced to move on to the NFL, the fair solution is simple: let everybody who was affected play this year.
If not, LSU can kick the two backups off the roster and commence to whipping everybody’s arse anyway.
And let’s be real—that’s the actual reason the rest of the SEC wants LSU suspended. ????????

The SEC should just admit that they screwed up and make a blanket waver for all players eligible under the 5 for 5 like the NCAA should have done in June. Maybe LSU won't counter sue if they apologize for singling them out.

Until the SEC released their new rules.
Sure, at that point it made sense to add the SEC.
Lawyers had already been retained and were running the show at that point, unless you think Lane is literally directing their legal strategy.
I don't know, it will be interesting to see. This suit looks like trash though and is probably just a stall method.

Chambliss was a ruling that allowed a single specific person to be eligible. The league was not forced to change its standards or rules to accommodate. LSU is forcing the league to change it's standards.
Wrong!
Wrong!
Wrong!
A thousand times wrong!
When the NCAA went to the 5 for 5 rule, SEC could’ve taken Ole Miss and Chambliss back to court, and had him disqualified for being ineligible.

All it takes is the TWO players LSU recruited and coerced to spread the word in what they're about to do and what do you know, now there's 300.
Wasn't the Colorado case filed months before the one in BR?
And lets not forget the OG pro trying to play college ball lawsuit Bediako v. NCAA.

That's not going to happen.
I never in a million years would have thought so either.
But then I wouldn't have thought LSU or any other members would openly defy the SEC, it's members and the standards the rest of the conference wants.
When this happens, a team usually leaves the conference. In the past that has been teams leaving on their own, such as Tulane who wanted higher academic standards. In the case of LSU, it might be the first one removed by others.
If you want to ignore SEC rules, that's fine - you can be independent. But if you want to be a member of the SEC then you must abide by SEC rules. The other members aren't going to sit around and let you bully them.
LSU has become worse than all the claims about Texas in the Big12.

There needs to be a clear definition of the rule. Sankey and his team fumbled this in the hearing. They couldn't define a professional. The rule is no professional. Great, I agree. Define a professional in today's world. If you declare for the draft, that make's you a pro? Mini-camp make's you a pro? Training Camp? Euro League basketball, G-league? We're living in this grey area that I think needs some guard rails.
This…. LSU has always stated they would follow the rules. What are the rules? It needs to be stated so that there is no grey area. The SEC needs to define what makes players ineligible and what constitutes a pro player.

Comprehension is key here, he is talking about 5for5 players affected from the late ncaa rule change, sure anyone can be allowed for this year only. Base on being in their 5th year THIS YEAR.

That would mean LSU drove 300+ athletes to file this suit. You think that they came prove that?
You think they filed in federal court without evidence that communication was taking place between players and the program? I mean seems like thats gonna be pretty clear here shortly but Im not an attorney for the league office so I guess its possible?
And no, it doesn't mean they drove all of them into the portal that's not what's being alleged in the filing.

That’s exactly what I think.

Informing Wright and Harris that there is an ongoing lawsuit against the NCAA that they could join, if they choose, is not against any rules.
Your assertion is that Lane Kiffin and LSU encouraged Wright and Harris to file this lawsuit, and everyone else joined in later.

I didnt file suit so no thats not my assertion, Im simply clarifying to you why you were sued by the SEC as opposed to other schools.
They will have to prove what happened in court.

I think so, the foundation for the federal suit seems pretty flimsy. I think it's just a stall method.

Requiring you to adhere to the same rules as everyone else doesn't mean other people are scared, it means your administration lacks any adults with the balls to tell your narcissistic manchild of a head coach to follow the rules so the conference is having to step in to do it for you.
