Luckily for uga, GT is a very difficult school to maintain even a 3.0. Reason why many students lose their hope scholarship.
If it was like back in the day, GT probably still requires multi variable calculus, something foozeball players wouldn’t fancy.
Do you really think that football players at Tech go to class and maintain a 3.0 GPA, especially in the NIL era?

Take a look at Tech's enrollment data. Take note of the number of international and out-of-state students.
Tech moved its home game with UGA this year to the Benz. They got more money, but the crowd was a UGA crowd.
Hanyes King is graduating. Buster Faulkner went to Florida and took Philo with him. We'll see if Key can keep Tech respectable.

I agree with A&M and Auburn
In what ways should they be elite?
Auburn specifically?
The ceiling for them is beat Bama.

Arrogance and idiotic coaching hires mostly.
I’ve always thought Texas’ problem is à failure to align their boosters. Too many cooks in the kitchen so to speak. If Texas was properly aligned like Alabama is, they would be the greatest football program in America by a large margin.
Alabama’s greatest strength is the total alignment behind their boosters.

Texas A&M
Texas Tech
Georgia Tech
UCF- they have a big enrollment, if they start putting money into Football they could do very well.

I agree.

The campus sucks
I disagree here
The campus is actually very pretty, wooded, and hilly.

After the population Boom all 3 Florida schools were dominate(till all three had bad coaching hires and tankes)..but I will go with Texas Tech..lot of money..they find the right coach look out.

We all hired bad coaches. All 3 Florida schoools you can win at...but we have a ton of in State competition for recruits so it is spread out alot.

Only half trolling:
Rice has the largest endowment (per student percentage) in the state of Texas. We have some fat wallets. We could finance a way better football program if we wanted to.
We're much richer than Texas Tech, SMU, TCU and Baylor which have had football success
We have a larger endowment than every school in the SEC outside of the Texas/Texas A&M systems and Vanderbilt
We've shown the ability to win it all in a Mens Big 3 sport (Baseball 2003)

Tech will never get out of their own way, they are ran more like Ivy like tech schools like MIT or UChicago.

Texas Tech
Texas Tech has one billionaire booster that is carrying the program right now. If Cody Campbell dials back his funding, Texas Tech very likely falls right back into irrelevance.
Tech football will live and die by Campbell's continued generosity or lack thereof. Aside from Campbell, they dont have the same level of wealthy alumni base across the board that texas and A&M do.

It's a concrete jungle. There is absolutely nothing special about Tech's campus.
