The nightmare will continue as long as Saban is upright on a Bama sideline

He could be in a wheelchair calling the game from the press box and be a nightmare for opposing coaches.

As long as he has a mouthpiece on the sidelines willing to drop a few f bombs and throw some headsets...

It is hardly an old coaching staff, OP.

True, but the recruiting is not gonna be what it was last year.

Don’t worry the players will get the Bama bumps they deserve and finish in the top three again. Having said that I think Saban pushed all his chips in for Tua’s and Najaee’s last year so he could get one more natty and pass Bear. Bama was outcoached in the NC and Saban knows it. They are still the most talented team but OSU, Clemson, and UGA are trying to cut the talent advantage.

End of an era is starting though. Crazy how long Bama’s run has gone.

Then what was the point of a better class that just signed for 2019.

One of these teams doesn’t fit. Clemson and Ohio State actually win championships. Georgia just wastes all there talent.

It’s a typical college coaching staff. Now let’s look at LSU.

I hate to think how long it will actually take to bring Alabama back down to something akin to what LSU, Michigan, Penn State, or Oklahoma is these days. That is, a 9-10 win team most years.

The way they've recruited lately, and the reputation they've built, it's going to be hard to mess up. If Nick Saban retired today, all Alabama would need to do is hire an above average coach to keep this train rolling for at least 6 years or so. That's not to say they would be in the playoffs all 4 years, just that they would continue to have the talent to do so for at least that long.

Clemson is also pretty close to being in that same situation, if they're not already there.

It's depressing to think about when you're one of us in their division trying to play catch up.

Same thing was said about Coach Bryant in 1971

Same thing was said abort Coach Saban in 2010

Same thing was said abort Coach Saban in 2013

Same thing was said abort Coach Saban in 2014

and yet Coach Bryant went on to win 3 NC in the next 8 years

and yet Coach Saban went on to win 4 NC in 11,12,15,17

True, but not "the" top class.

Probably not the second class.

LSU's OL depth is concerning. Burrow might be running for his life all year. Hopefully he stays healthy. What does LSU have behind him?

Will the OLOL and NCAA inquiry going to be a distraction you think? If O fails to get a 10-win season, this could spell the end.
