how exactly does Texas’s perm opponents bolster the argument that we’re going to destroy the SEC?

Tennessee/Kentucky is a rival game, mostly because there is nobody that Kentucky hates more than Tennessee. Wish they would bring back the beer barrel.
Tennessee was so desperate to beat Vanderbilt, they hired a new coach and told him that his main job was to beat Vandy. Robert Neyland was up to the challenge.
The Third Saturday in October was such a rival game, Bear Bryant played the 2nd half of the 1935 game with a fractured leg.

This is the B12/SWC all over again, seen this show twice already. They do not see anyone as a peer, they are Texas and everyone else are peasants to them.

Texas has 3 Rivals, and has played them 319 times since 1894.
Texas has played Oklahoma 120 times in the 124 years since 1900, every year other than 1924-1928.
Texas played A&M 118 times in 117 years, beginning in 1894, before A&M left for the SEC.
Texas played Arkansas every year since 1933, 80 times total starting in 1894, before Arkansas left for the SEC.
With the SEC protective scheduling, and only playing 8 conference games, I don't believe most of the SEC "rivals" have played every year.

Never been jealous of Texas in my life, frick those bitches. Thanks for proving my point about how you can't wait to come over and go Brokeback Mountain for them, unfortunately for you steers have nothing in that department. OU worships the ground Texas walks on and will do anything they ask, always have.
Texas destroyed the SWC by going after everyone for doing what they had always done in paying players and eventually Arkansas left. Once they couldn't control it they destroyed it. Then they destroyed the Big 12 by chasing off Nebraska and Colorado and deciding to make the LHN. They also had Beebe as commissioner to do whatever they wanted. Same pattern is slowly happening in the SEC. Texas gets the super easy schedule for their first 2 years and basically anything they want because they have the money, power, and relationships with ESPN to push for it. They couldn't give a rats arse about the SEC other than how they can use it to go to 2 Superconferences where they have an outsized voice in how things are run. Check back with me in 5 years and tell me I'm wrong.
A&M isn't jealous of Texas because we don't need them. We tried to get the hell away from them when we came to the SEC because we know how they operate. A&M has the political power and money that we don't need shite from them. Hell we still have a $20 Billion endowment and can put 107k in the stands for trash like UTSA after a terrible end to 2024, we just do an amazing job of getting less with more than anyone else. I know plenty of sips personally that are fantastic people but the school itself and the people who run it are the most arrogant assholes on the planet and they don't feel like the rules ever apply to them.

No, off of the top of my head: Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, and Arkansas all got who they wanted (or needed). All in all, the selections for each team aren't that bad.

South Carolina isn't a rival because they are South Carolina.
But we've played them more times than we have played Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, and Miss St and they have only been in the conference for 35 years.
