Lawrence, KS is not a bad college town at all.

Yes, but not including aTm and Mizzou since I'm not familiar with either town
However, it's made some strides in the past few years. It will always just be in the middle of nowhere though.

No offense but you're a goddamned idiot.
That english degree isn't going to work out is it...
You're so goddamned stupid that you can't even open a goddamned book to see that "goddamned" is, in fact, a real word.

And my degree was in economics. I know it's not "how to frick a dead turkey" or whatever it is you're majoring in at EMCC, but it'll do.

Look, if you can't have fun in Starkville, the problem is you. I have been to all SEC towns, and Starkville definitely ranks towards the bottom due to population. However, anyone from Oxford, Auburn, or Tuscaloosa talking shite about Starkville is simply comical. You are on our level or slightly above. I've had fun in all places, but all are similar to Starkville as far as things to do. And if it is population we are talking, Starkville is at 44,000 this year with students. Oxford is at 34,000 with Students, so stop talking shite simply because you have the square and an elitist attitude.
Simply stated, if you can't have fun in a SEC town, you are a miserable loser.
"The availability of fun" doesn't itself make a good college town. I find drinking beer and shooting guns pretty damn fun, and I can do that in the middle of nowhere (or in Southeast DC) if I please.
Oxford's great because it's more than just a school and a collection of bars. I could go on and on but whatever. You either won't listen or are too dense to understand.

Their food is terrible, but it's a decent place to watch a ball game back home where all the bars are GDI central.

They do have just about every game you could want, so if you have some bullshite cable plan, BWW isn't the worst place you could end up. At least they have liquor.

Starkville's not high on my list of favorite
SEC stops but at least the place has never driven me to a life of crime like it did Machine Gun Kelly.
Machine Gun enrolled at MSU in 1917 to study agriculture. The highest grade he received in his two years there was a C+ for personal hygiene.
Finally fed up with Starkville,Kelly picked up a machine gun and the rest is history.

As an unbiased fan, I wouldn't say Tuscaloosa is even the best town in the SEC. Sure, it is great on any Saturday in the fall and from late March through May, it can be pretty awesome as well. I guess im using a formula of fun, atmosphere, food, bars, fans and of course hot women. With that being said I would have to go with....... Baton Rouge and Athens.

I read yesterday that they're building a huge apartment building/development on Northgate, and it said the bike shop would be out so I assume it's right up on University across from campus. It's going to be interesting to see what that area is like in 5 years, the whole stretch east of Northgate along University is pretty much open to development and could easily turn into a massive bar district if the school and city keep growing.

This is a Starkville sucks thread, not a College Station rulez thread.
