Oh yay. This thread again.

IDGAF what anyone else thinks. I love Starkville. I've been looking for a job there, so I can move back.

So, y'all hate while I'm kickin' it in the pasture with my heifers.

I need to move back to Starkville because I never got to have relations with that cow and/or chicken during my undergrad.

Here we go with the weekly bash Starkville thread with 90% Bama and Ole Miss comments.
Look, if you can't have fun in Starkville, the problem is you. I have been to all SEC towns, and Starkville definitely ranks towards the bottom due to population. However, anyone from Oxford, Auburn, or Tuscaloosa talking shite about Starkville is simply comical. You are on our level or slightly above. I've had fun in all places, but all are similar to Starkville as far as things to do. And if it is population we are talking, Starkville is at 44,000 this year with students. Oxford is at 34,000 with Students, so stop talking shite simply because you have the square and an elitist attitude.
Simply stated, if you can't have fun in a SEC town, you are a miserable loser.

We all know Baton Rouge is the best... LSU got voted sexiest school, its an actual city that has a lot of nice things to do, and the food is great! and it is home of a team that is actually good at football which is what truly matters in picking an SEC town...

Yes Baton Rouge has a lot of nice restuarants and shopping, but it also has that absolutely misserable traffic. Ill take Starkville anyday over that traffic.

Starkville deserves to be at the bottom of the discussion but there are some really great things about Starkville and it definitely is not "shitty". It's one of the best campuses in the conferences, I don't care what you say. It just hasn't been that way for long and hasn't gotten the respect yet. It's not as ugly as college station. And I would say T-town might be shittier than Starkville overall.

I can't speak for College Station other than the fact that the CS/Bryan, TX and Tuscaloosa metro areas have almost identical populations of around 215,000. I think the MSU campus is decent and the city of Starkville is improved but T-town despite a couple of bad areas isn't "sh######".

Tuscaloosa's issue is that all the nicer neighborhoods (and there are a lot of them) are north of the river and aren't visible from McFarland Blvd. The population of these "nice" areas of T-town and Northport alone are as large as the entire city of Starkville. Another thing that separates the two cities is that Tuscaloosa (and Oxford for example) are an hour's drive from a significant metro area (Birmingham in T-town's case and Memphis in Oxford's case). That's another disadvantage Starkville has through no fault of its own. No easy access to a large metro area like every other school in the conference.

It's not just us saying that we're better champion. Ole Miss/Oxford wouldn't rank so high if it was just Ole Miss fans talking about how great it is.
