I was very impressed with the Nicholls performance last weekend and think they are going to contend for an FCS title.

Here are a few facts to prove my point:

1.) Since 2011, they are 9-48!

2.) Since 2011, their closest game to a P5 opponent was 48. Now, I'm sure the score wasn't indicative of how competitive the game was, but Colorado finished 1-8 in the elite Pac-12 that year.

3.) Since 2011, they have played 4 P5 opponents. The average margin of victory for the P5 schools (Colorado, Arky, Oregon, Oregon St) is a staggering 62.75 points!

Going off previous performance, I would guess that Nicholls has finally put it all together. They're really going to turn some heads and make some noise.

or

Does Georgia suck?

Probably neither.

Teams play bad games sometimes. It happens.

Does anyone else think the Georgia twang/accent sounds like a cat overdosing on heroin?

Nichols is a southern FCS school

So they would beat northern FBS schools like Mizzou

Nicholls is bad, and Georgia was overrated after UNC, but they aren't as bad as they looked last week. Not unlike UT week 1 (although App State is much better than Nicholls). I expect both UT and UGA to play at much higher levels throughout the year.

Every team has bad games.

I think Georgia got a little too much hype after beating a mediocre North Carolina team, but they are better than their performance last Saturday.

Their oLine sucks and receivers drop a lot of passes, but aside from that, they're decent at a minimum.

They should still beat Mizzou.

The answer is NO.

Georgia is not bad.
Nicholls not that good.

Any team that goes out and farts around with a team like Nicholls will/can have the same results. Smaller
schools are getting better players.

For the record, Nicholls' record from 2010 to the beginning of 2014 was 10-38. The remainder of 2014 under an interim coach, they were 0-9. Them going 3-8 last year was a pretty big turnaround when you consider that prior to that, they'd had a total of 10 wins in FIVE YEARS. Betting they improve a decent amount this year over last, and that's big for them.

Now UGA....we got issues. Mizzou won't be one of them.

I'd worry more about how y'all haven't scored a touchdown against us since 2013.

Alabama twang is worse. It's got sort of a "is he gay or just really southern" vibe.

Don't worry. We are bringing out the whole playbook for this one

Teams are bipolar in the early season sometimes. It happens

All we know is we really don't know how the SEC will shake out at week 3 in the season, as much as we try to make "top 5s" among teams with no common opponents

Almost every team (minus Bama and A&M) has already had a Jekyll and Hyde moment in only 2 weeks

Glad to see Odom has brought the concept of the playbook to that wretched place.

Solid opinions all around and I agree.

Nichols will be better this year and played pretty good overall. They beat us in the trenches on both sides.

UGA squandered a couple of opportunities, dropped some passes and just didn't seem to have much enthusiasm about playing.

Now its a guessing game on what kind of team we are...8-4 or 10-2. I am guessing the former.

Games like that should be expected with a new HC, and a true freshman QB. We won't really know anything about Kirby until next year when he has had a year to implement his view of the process.

We aged Nicholls 2 years ago. They were the worst football team Arkansas has ever played. We beat them 73-7, and it could've been MUCH worse.
