Is LSU Capable of Scoring more Than 23 Points?

They haven’t shown they can. Still dead last in scoring. And they are getting the benefit of a pick six Saturday night. For those keeping score, this is how many points LSU’s different units have scored through three games this season.
Defense - 6 points (1 td)
Offense - 30 points (5 td)
Special Teams - 24 points (6 fg/6 xp)
No, that is not a typo. The LSU offense has scored 5 touchdowns in 3 games.

When the D only allows 9 points per game, don’t need to score 23, only 10.

In two of those games, we were on the opponents 5 yd line and kneeled out the clock.

But they've played teams that are a combined 4-5 on the season. That's a gauntlet.
LSU's opponents best win has probably been New Mexico State so far, and them boys in Las Crucas are great football players. Luckily La Tech got to play them in Ruston.

So far no one believes LSU can score more than 23 points.
