Regi, I think.

But it’s been a hell of a long time since I learned Latin.

Private equity buyout

Some major firms are looking to sell out to PE. A problem is ethical rules that say lawyers cannot share profits from legal work with non-lawyers. But I think they are finding ways around that.

Incidentally, I ran into a surgeon from the Northeast who sold out to PE. He hung around for about a year but then cashed in his chips. Once he did, the deal went south fast.

Where were you living? What were you doing? What was your trajectory at the time?

Lafayette.

Working and waiting for my second son with my first wife.

Professionally, my trajectory was upward. Relationally my marriage was shitty. As Buffet once said, “On top of all that I got married to early/Cost me much more than a ring.” But I got my sons out of it, and I’d pay the price again 100 times for that.

I doubt AI had much to do with this.

AI is going to make this a lot worse.

In South Louisiana in the 70s you drove once you could see over the steering wheel, and it was a manual transmission.
They must have used the "process of elimination" to catch her.
If so, in what proportion to the corn?
It depends on benefits and what makes you happy.

350 and no benefits or security in a job that makes you miserable is a terrible salary. You are a walking ATM for your wife and family. I know some of those.

$80 k in a pretty secure business and a job that makes you happy is a great salary.

Easy easy. It was just a simple question. How much does it spike your glucose, out of curiosity.

I’ve got my average down to about 136 and falling. (I’ve clocked an A1C over ten in the past, so that’s good for me.) With weight loss and meds, I can keep it in a normal range some of the time now. Still work to do.

It goes up about 30 points with coffee.

Sorry, I’m a little edgy when it comes to coffee.

That’s all I drink. If I’d wanted a cup of cream and sugar, I wouldn’t have asked for coffee.
