I am not your lawyer.

And I don't know. So there's that.

Sometimes you gotta be straight with yourself. I am the dumbass in this scenario.

Very well played.

A smart legal move would be:

—Reinstate
—Send notice
—Wait out cure period
—Fire him again

No. They have the money lined up on monthly payment for the first year. After that, they will try to negotiate it out with Kelly or count on mitigation.

He's keeping it real (estate).

He likes agents.

I’ve read the contract a couple times this morning. Kelly can be fired for cause for refusing to perform the duties assigned by Woodward. He can be fired for taking an unauthorized vacation. Whether this would stick in court or not, who knows, hence the negotiations.

They are claiming he was not given the right to cure.

It says he has a right to cure "to the extent curable" on seven days notice. So it may come down to whether the cause was "curable."
Settled? Yes.

Sealed? No.

It is already filed. From what I can tell, they did not seek to seal it. It will be public tomorrow because today is a state holiday.

I'm looking forward to reading the petition and subsequent filings and hope they will be linked somewhere here for ease of reference.

They should be out by tomorrow at the latest.

It is not out yet. ClerkConnect will not update until tomorrow because of the holiday. I am working angles to get a copy.

Today is a holiday, so ClerkConnect will not update until tomorrow, very likely.

I have a lead on getting a copy. Stand by.
That's what I say if I represented coaches.

I have emailed his attorney and asked for a copy. Stand by.

Does this have to be requested to get a copy?

No. There is a system called ClerkConnect. If you have access, you can get copies of most pleadings. It will probably take a day or so for it to show up.

Working angles to get a copy.

There are reports that Vincent DeSalvo is local counsel. Have not confirmed.
