Amari Cooper:
14 games, 124 rec, 1,727 yds, 16 tds (Blake Sims QB)

JaMarr Chase:
15 games, 84 rec, 1,780 yds, 20 tds (Joe Burrow QB)

Wow 40 less receptions for Chase but nearly 60 more yards. If Chase isnt the best SEC WR ever he certainly has a case for best deep threat ever. Either that or Amari Cooper ran a lot of short routes.

In terms of best seasons by an SEC WR it's essentially between 2019 Chase and 2014 Amari Cooper.

Amari Cooper:
14 games, 124 rec, 1,727 yds, 16 tds (Blake Sims QB)

JaMarr Chase:
15 games, 84 rec, 1,780 yds, 20 tds (Joe Burrow QB)

Reidel Anthony 1996:

12 games, 72 rec, 1,293 yds, 18 TDs

If you prorate that, it's 90 rec, 1,616 yds, 23 TDs

Fitzgerald also played in two fewer games than Chase, and Pitt's QB threw more than 100 fewer passes than Burrow.

If the answer is yes to Chase then Cam Newton is the greatest QB.

Chase also played with a guy who caught 111 passes for 1,540 yards and 18 TD as well

No point in talking about it until we see his performance next year without Joey B.

Cooper ran a ton of short slant routes. He was used almost like a HB. He could keep defenses from crowding the line with a deep throw and also make them respect the short throw. He was a catch machine. Chase certainly did more with fewer touches. I guess there are arguments on both sides as to whether more catches is a positive or a negative.

Every LSU player from last night is the greatest CFB player ever.

If they redid the greatest 11 from last night it would be all LSU 2019 players.

Would have loved to see him go up against the best in Jeffery Okudah.

Would have been incredible to watch.

Go watch our practices. He goes against the best every day in Derek Stingley Jr

Okudah can’t carry Stingley’s jockstrap

Loser self entitled BAMA fan here crying. Shocker.

Literally everyone is saying that this was the best offensive team ever to play the game.

Except you, Gump. Self absorbed as expected.

It took him 15 games to do what Josh Reed did in 12 so no

You misspelled Josh Reed

but put up those numbers with a converted HB throwing him the ball.

Or a QB who switched to RB then back to QB

I mean he's not wrong. The hyperbole is getting a little too much for my liking, but yeah it was a great year.

We literally won everything

Point taken, but Chase only played 14 games.

That's certainly in his reach next year.

Fitzgerald did that without much of a supporting cast

Imo it’s Moss and Crabtree

With a guy on the opposite side soaking up targets, I'd say that Chase was more productive

The other guy is soaking up coverage help too. Larry Fitzgerald was THE guy on that offense. Chase had an amazing year and deserves a lot of credit and a discussion could probably be had about it being a GOAT season. But LF had way less help around him and played less games.
