Sankey seems to really like new SEC additions Texas, and Oklahoma. Plus aggy is paranoid about the guy, which spawns lots of conspiracy theories on TexAgs about how aggy was “backstabbed,” and sold down the river by Sankey, when Sankey “traitorously” added Texas to the SEC (just when aggy was about to dominate, ha)…
So Sankey is great, from my perspective… let’s keep him!

Not to be biased but I do like how favorable he is to Texas lol, has he made that many questionable choices? I need to go check. He's gotten the schools paid thats for sure. Vandy makes more than the entire big12

Sankey is in a tough spot.
Does the SEC have some of the best traditions in all of college football? Absolutely.
Does the SEC have some of the best stadiums in CFB? Without a doubt.
Does the SEC have some of the best talent in the game? YES
Does the SEC have the most rabid fans? Yes and not even close...
Does the SEC have the largest alumni bases in the USA? Nope, the B1G has 7 of the top 10 largest alumni bases...only Texas and A&M made the top 10 in SEC.
Does the SEC have the top TV Markets? No again..the B1G has 4 of the top 5 and that 1 that isn't B1G country is Dallas.
The last two items on the list are why CBS took the 2nd best B1G game each week over the best SEC game each week. Those are the items that matter to TV execs when they are paying out Billions to the B1G.

I don't disagree. But, the points are a bit conflicting. A large market that is not a CFB rabid market is just a large market.
The B1G football culture, as you stated, is not the same as the collective of smaller SEC markets across the South.

The B1G football culture, as you stated, is not the same as the collective of smaller SEC markets across the South. This last part is the SEC's problem...the Networks are trying to attract the most eyeballs across the country.
The SEC has the South locked down...however the B1G has more eyeballs from coast to coast...that is what the TV networks want.

Sankey is the worst SEC commissioner. We added teams we didn’t need. He forced the Mississippi legislature to change the state flag all cause one State player was butt hurt over it.
Him and Big Ten commish are ruining the sport. A big monopoly and super conferences.

Very true...but again...that viewership is mostly in the South.
Sponsors are looking for the NATIONAL/International Brand and that is the B1G. Thus why CBS and NBC will take the 2nd and 3rd best games in the B1G instead of the best game in the SEC.
