Is Fayetteville the nicest SEC town?

I passed through a couple weeks ago and I believe it is easily.

Athens is a great town, but I'm talking more about the natural setting. Oxford is a great town too.

As far as natural beauty, I think it is.
Athens is the coolest town though.

I've been to fayeteville and it is lovely, really surprised me. That said it's no Athens.

not really a college town. And yeah I know OP said "sec town". But Nashville is no more an 'SEC town' (ignoring the fact that it's not a town..) than Atlanta is an 'ACC town'

Athens is not a nice town. It's a unique and fun and cool town with lots to do that also has a shite ton of bad spots, run down areas, crime and poor people. That said, I wouldn't dispute it being the best SEC town all around.

Fayetteville is probably the nicest SEC town. Auburn and Oxford are also honorable mentions.

Nashville is great, but it doesn't really qualify as a "college town". It's Music City with a couple colleges.

I was blown away with how nice Fayetteville was when I went up there for a Bama game. Great fans and a great town for sure.
