Congrats to coach O.

But I heard from more than one LSU poster how he "sacrificed" his HC salary so his assistants like Aranda could get "paid"

Obviously that narrative is blown up.

IMO, this is the single hardest thing to do for coaches. His time at Ole Miss retrospectively was the best thing that ever happened to him.

Difference being one school can afford to burn money like if it were Zimbabwean dollars while the other one is not long removed from facing a financial shut down.

And it's hilarious that LSU is doing this after all the grief they gave A&M about Jimbo just 2 years ago.

LSU just paid a coach who went undefeated in the SEC and then winning the national championship. A&M paid a coach who hasn’t won in the SEC and totally destroyed a team in the ACC before he jumped ship! It’s laughter not Grief that you deserve!

Lol. Justify it however you want but do you really think that’s what you got? Really?

Did you just wake up from a 3 month nap? It’s done. GOAT season. I’ll take that mirage everyday of the week. Can’t imagine what Aggy would pay for a mirage like that.

1) I mean, what did you expect LSU to do? He was responsible for putting together one of the greatest runs in college football history.

2) What are y'all going to say when LSU pays ED AND pays it's coordinators?

To be fair:

He may have sacrificed his salary to get aranda, but that was while he was busy having the best season of all time.

Now it’s time for LSU to pay up. LSU will have to pay the assistants too.

Why?

He sacrificed his salary so he could prove that he was worth it. He brought the right coaches and won a national championship. His team set numerous records and brought what the fans wanted.

Now he gets paid, his assistants will still get paid as well.

Yes, glorious as Orgeron drags his nuts over Jimbo’s puffy face over the next few years.

I will never get someone trying to troll a fanbase because their head coach got a raise after winning a title. You really think we give a frick that O got a raise? Hell, we're happy for him and still celebrating winning the national championship. shite like this is exactly why everyone on here hates aggy posters.

You handcuffed yourself to a guy who might well prove to be a mirage.

You paid your guy $75MM guaranteed over 10 years, when he was coming off of a 5-6 season.

We paid our guy $3.5MM/year coming off of a 6-2 interim season. We bumped him to $4MM/year after he made it to a NY6 bowl and finished #6 in the AP poll. Then we bumped him to $6MM/year plus a life insurance policy and incentives for 6 years after he won coach of the year, went 15-0, won a national championship, and set school/SEC/FBS records.

But as a troll, you knew that.
