Is it possible that if they had more male cheerleaders on the field they would be better?

Or more bubbles in the dugout as well?

Stands, not dugout. It’s a fan thing, not a player thing.

But sure … couldn’t hurt, right?

He should be fired. There is no excuse to getting swept at home by Missouri with everything on the line to salvage the season. Mizzou is likely the worst team in SEC history and won 0 other SEC games all season 3-28. Fire him

The injury bug was real but even with injuries the team won series against Tenn, Arky and LSU. The same team lost to mizzou. It’s all on the coach

He took over an emotionally challenging situation after the Schloss exit. And the Ags have been absolutely decimated, injury-wise (lost pitching ace Shane Sdao, and their biggest bats in Gavin Grahovac, Caden Sorrell, and Jace LaViolette). Not to mention, his players would walk through fire for him. He’s not going anywhere.

Exhibit Z for why A&M runs themselves like wine drunk women. “It was an emotional situation”. Y’all are such pussies.

Oh come on. Sdao and Grahovac were big losses, but Jace and Sorrell got hurt at the end of the year, after a full season of the team playing like shite. There was more than enough talent on the roster to win, as shown vs LSU, TN, Ark. Earley is in over his head. It is painfully obvious.

As for the players "running through fire" for him. Who gives a shite? Players demanding the coach is what got us the results we have enjoyed this year.

He’s fired if they don’t make the tournament.

The original post questioned whether or not Earley will be fired, and the facts provided discuss the overall scenario of how this year shook out.

Nobody is saying it’s excusable, and not a single A&M fan is ok with how things went this season — it’s just reality. A first year head coach isn’t going to be fired, especially when dealing with the situation Earley was in. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either overly emotional, or grossly uninformed.

You’d think a fan of a team that hung on to David Pierce for over 8 years would recognize that. Y’all aren’t some ballsy program who pulled the trigger after one bad season.

P.S. You’re a much better poster on the Poli board. You’re pretty much just a dick in here.

"They can't afford to fire Earley and pay a new coach"

That is one ridiculous statement. The only accurate statement is Earley's tenure is still TBD.

Kendall is entitled to his opinion. I stand by mine. Which is what it is — an opinion.

Maybe. It’s not guaranteed, but it’s more likely than not. June 25 is not when you want to be trying to fill an opening, so we really didn’t get to conduct a proper search last year. Rolling the dice on keeping the roster together was seen as a better alternative to hiring someone way down the wishlist while watching some of your top players go to Austin.

Some folks have mentioned Vaughn. I would have been OK with that last year, but I’d feel better about it this year after two SEC campaigns for Vaughn. If we make a change, and Vaughn is the floor, then making a change would seem to be the right move.

Who would want to come coach at Aggie if they’re firing young coaches after one year? And not because of off-the-field reasons.

i don't get this thinking. There's not a proven coach alive who wouldn't look at the payday A&M could give and not think it's worth a shot. There's also not a proven coach alive who doesn't think they could do much better if they were handed the preseason #1 team and all the resources A&M could offer. It was the other guy's fault if he couldn't succeed with that headstart.

None of these guys are timid or lack confidence. None of them hate money.

Well, seven years, since 2020 was canceled early. And he made the CWS 3/7 times. It actually WAS pretty ballsy for Texas to move on from him. They statistically make the CWS every other year, and that was right at what Pierce was doing. No one else in the country is firing a coach for those results with the possible exception of LSU.
